I am so glad my mom pushed me to hire a decorator for my wedding! The day we scheduled a tour of our venue, Donna had an event and the barn was GORGEOUS!!!!! Donna was so sweet to stop what she was doing and discuss with us a little bit about what she does and give us her information. She was so great to my parents and I. My mom was like ''HIRE HER!'' and I'm so glad we did. She felt like family! There are so many things I would have missed if I wouldn't have had Donna. She truly knows the ins and outs of weddings. She hooked me up with a DJ, linens (I ALMOST FORGOT LINENS!) Donna had found a contact, about a week and half before the wedding, that came through! There are so many little things, details that can be overlooked, I'm so glad she was able to help me through this process. The night before the wedding I came to the venue to drop of some things and Donna was already there getting everything set up, working later into the night. I met her husband, and her sons, I love that they're a family business. They were all so helpful and kind! The day of the wedding, we had some scare about rain so Donna let me know, it may be best to move some things inside. Me being stubborn wanted to wait, LOL, so we moved the things outside that could be damaged by the rain inside and left all seating outside along with the beautiful vine arch of Donna's! It didn't rain! She arranged everything so beautifully inside, to make it work. I loved all of her decorations, so many cute things. I told her what I did and didn't want and she was incredible! She even had a sweetheart table with beautiful table wear and goblets for my husband and I! She hung out with us girls in the bridal suite for a bit, as I was getting my hair and makeup done! When it was getting close to walk time, she even helped me fix my dress! It kept getting twisted up on me! She truly was such a special part of my day, she honestly felt like my Aunt or something! She stayed much longer into the day than she normally does, she really went above and beyond. Her specialty is sort of shabby chic -- if this is your style, DO NOT HESITATE! She was fantastic. My mom found It's Personal Wedding Staging and Design on FB and I'm happy she did! Donna was about an hour from me so we had 3 meetings. My first impression of Donna was, this is someone I want to collaborate with. My thoughts and visions were all over the place. I noticed a lot of barn style decor in inventory which is not my style. However, I loved the vintage stuff and my vision was vintage meets boho. I had purchased a lot of things already ( thinking I would do it on my own). I had no idea what I was going to do with it all, so I gave it to Donna. Donna was able to take my ideas and items and create magic. Donna is very honest very direct (must be from all the years of teaching) and will provide her opinions but that's what you are paying for right? In her professional opinion if something doesnt sound like it will look good or work Donna will work with you to come up with a creative and beautiful solution. On the day of my wedding I decided to completely rearrange the ceremony but I forgot to call Donna and tell her. When she arrived I explained since it had rained I wanted the layout different. Please check out all the other 45 five star ratings from other brides that I've had the pleasure of working with in the past. Please note that all the other ratings she has given have been negative. She was correct with one thing she said .....she was the only bride I had difficulties with from the beginning. She ended up inviting over 100 guests but only a few attended. I'm really glad my stepmom pushed me to hire a wedding decorator. Donna did such a amazing job and we had so much fun together setting stuff up and talking about the design and what not of my wedding. My wedding was blistering hot,so having someone come set everything up was AMAZING. Donna was so easy to get along with and she understood what and how I wanted things at the wedding and ceremony. The day of the wedding if there was something I had questions about she answered them for me or she even asked if I did or didn't like anything. It was so awesome to have her do my wedding. I wish I could give 10 stars when it comes to working with Mrs. Donna. She is absolutely AMAZING and thinks of every little detail that you may forget (from unity ceremonies to sparkler exit). I had specific flowers that I wanted used for my ceremony and reception and she went above and beyond placing them and making sure everything was just how I wanted it. When she saw our plates sitting out (we had everything set up like a buffet style) she took the extra step and placed all the plates, silverware and napkins on the tables because she thought it would give that extra touch and it absolutely did. I found Ms Donna online. She was wonderful from the moment I contacted her. I went for a consultation and she made sure we were are the right fit for each other. From there she met me at my venue almost an hour away. She wrote down a lay out and a plan. We went item by item through her beautiful shop and picked out everything I wanted.
