We recently attended a wedding where JVI Entertainment was hired as the DJ, and unfortunately, the…read morereception music was incredibly disappointing. While the music during the ceremony and dinner was great, the quality completely fell apart once the dancing portion of the evening began. The DJ repeatedly played songs that weren't on the bride and groom's requested playlist, cut songs off abruptly in the middle (sometimes even right before the beat dropped), and made little to no effort to blend or transition between tracks. Several songs were also played multiple times throughout the night, making the entire set feel repetitive and poorly planned. One of the most frustrating parts was how frequently songs were interrupted just as guests were getting into them. Rather than creating a seamless, high-energy dance floor experience, the music felt disjointed, with awkward transitions and sudden stops that disrupted the momentum. Despite the guests bringing great energy and doing their best to keep the dance floor alive, the DJ's performance felt unprepared and unprofessional. It genuinely seemed like someone DJing for the first time, randomly selecting songs rather than thoughtfully mixing music or following the couple's preferences. A wedding reception is such an important part of the celebration, and couples spend a lot of time carefully choosing music that reflects their taste and sets the tone for their special day. It was disappointing to see those requests seemingly disregarded. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend JVI Entertainment for a wedding reception.
