I discovered this place from tiktok and i just had to go check it out! I didn't take pictures but i sure wish i did! Isom's Orchard is such a lovely and beautiful place. The field of mums were such mesmerizing scenery. They had lots of colorful & fresh fruits and veggies! If you love boiled peanuts and apple cider like myself you'll definitely be excited lika a kid in the candy store! They have freshly made apple cider and apple cider slushies, which might i add were DELICIOUS! Let's not forget the pure raw honey (purchased some but haven't had a chance to taste it) & they also offer apple tasting! I didn't interact with the workers their but they seemed pretty friendly overall. I highly recommend everyone go and this place out! read more

Isom's has been around forever! I looked it up and the stand "as we know it now" was established in 1957. I recall making the "long drive" from home near UAH as a child to Isoms once a year, I don't recall what we would get there but it was always a big adventure for us children. Today, the hubs and I love this roadside fruit and veggie stand and orchard! It's convenient to us because, now, it's only about a mile from our home. We enjoy their delicious peaches, yellow squash, various yummy hulled peas and of course the vast supply of pumpkins and other Halloween/fall items [hay bales, corn stalks, various gourds]. The Isom's and their staff are very friendly, helpful, efficient and sweet! The Isom's grow several varieties of peaches and apples, which the family began growing in 1966. They also grow squash, okra, tomatoes, sweet corn, and watermelon, pumpkins and other vegetables. They farm about 300 acres along Hwy. 72. They also offer "u pick" opportunities for grapes and strawberries and likely, other fruits. They also host an annual scarecrow competition and donate the proceeds to the Alabama Veterans Museum and Archives. When my sweet Mom-in-Law visited us last, we got red apples from Isom's and to this day MIL raves about how delicious those apples were! The orchard's uber popular apple cider slushie is made fresh on site and is lauded on the "only in your state" website. Bring the yutes at Halloween and pull them around in the little red wagons they offer, it makes for a family-friendly fun photo op! Isom's is a seasonal tradition for my family. Yesterday they brought out the Apple Cider--and it is always absolutely fantastic. Their little parking lot his hopping! Great produce, great people, and great treats. Bring cash or your checkbook--they don't do plastic. Three slushees for us, and a gallon of Apple Cider for everyone else at home instead of with us as we rode by and noticed the commotion. read more

Craving fresh fruit after a day of yak'g on the lake? Come here! We saw this on the way home from kayaking last Friday late afternoon. I recalled some friends raving about their recent visit, then popped out the cell and saw the tips and pix on Yelp by familiar Yelp buddies. So I quickly had hubby make a u-turn specifically for the peaches. Boy!,,, Isom's did not disappoint! There were fresh fruits (peaches, apples, asian apples, watermelons, etc) and vegetables (okra, squash, tomatoes, potatoes, etc) bagged and/or in baskets ready to take home. Workers were friendly, except for one who kept their straight face and an eye on me whenever I reached to touch something. I laughed it off. Anywhoooo. Freshly picked ginormous peaches were available for $15 per basket. The regular/small size peaches were $10. The nearby sign said not to squeeze the peaches, but how else does one know they're good w/o getting to touch and taste them? There was nothing sliced out to taste either. So I picked up a few big peaches, smelled their sweetness, and squeezed 'em just a little. 8) They were hairy, but firm and aromatically sweet. Although I didn't expect to pay $15, we dished it anyways and it was so worth it!! Came home and quickly weighed the basket of beauties and they totaled 10 lbs. 3 oz. in the basket. Each peach eaten so far has been mesmerizingly sweet and deEeEeEelicious, and still maintaining their firmness. Definitely 5-star babies! We'll be back for more fresh peaches soon!! read more

Apples are very small sometimes. The vegetables are labeled as other boxes, so it makes you wonder if they are grown there. The round woman is very rude, but probably the owner. Other orchards are better. read more

I went to Isom's on 16 October 2020. Although their selections were wonderful, none of the workers serving the customers were wearing masks. Most of us customers were masked, but the workers were not. This was dangerous and unhealthy while we are in the middle of a still surging pandemic. And it is a shame, because I have been a longtime customer of this business. However, I will not be returning any time soon. read more

I love peaches and these are the best I have EVER had! I bought a basket and shared one with my stepdaughter and co-worker and they quickly agreed. I tried to hide the rest of them so that I could have them all to myself. I also tried their apples and apple cider. Wow! Again, phenomenal. No added sugar to the cider - all natural. I brought peaches last Friday. It was my mistake and brought then in June and not in July. They where the worst peaches I have ever brought. Soft, tasted bad and would not release from the seed. Lesson learned. I called the main office and basically told I cut them wrong and it was my problem. I brought 10-15 baskets last year. I will now seek a new vendor for peaches. Very disappointed with their main office. read more
