This is the type of place you almost do not want to Yelp about because you want to keep it a hidden gem! Cies was gorgeous and probably my favorite part of our trip. The water is cold but as clear and stunning as the Caribbean. The island offers some awesome camping right on the beach and has several hiking trails. A must see if you happen to be in the area. Make sure to book your tickets and permission slips in advance since they only allow a certain amount of people on the island. Go early in the morning if possible since it tends to get more crowded towards the afternoon. read more

This is one of the most amazing places in the world. I just went there a couple of times, but the beach is one of the most beautiful places i've been to. The water is so clear, clean, transparent, emmerald you feel like being in a caribbean island, the sand is so white, the only difference is probably the water temperature (it's the atlantic ocean after all). The only way to stay there is to go camping and to do so you need to book in advance as there're some restrictions on how many people can stay in the island at the same time. It's a natural reserve and it's very looked after. the only way to get there is catching a catamaran in vigo or cangas. read more

The island of Cies are a dream. Beautiful! National geografic once said that there is the most beautiful beach in the world. And that's almost true. You get there by boat from Vigo (not from Pontevedra). The boat only goes in seasion from may to september. When the weather is good, maybe longer, but that case is really rare in Galicia. There is no hotel on the island just a camping. So don't forget your tent. And there is just one resteraunt which is quite expensive. So don't forget your camping stove and food. read more

las islas cies son un lugar unico para pasar unos dias en el verano de acampada. son parque natural junto con otras islas atlanticas y una de sus playas fue elegida la mejor playa del mundo por una revista inglesa. eso nos da una idea de lo que nos podemos encontrar. el precio del camping no recuerdo exactamente cuanto ea pero sobre unos 7 u 8 euros al dia. no es mucho para un lugar como es cies. existen barcos hasta estas islas desde diversas localidades costeras, bueu cangas vigo.. son unos ejemplos. el barco sobre nos 10 euros rondara. el eltractivo de cies es su tranquilidad y sus playas cristalinas. a mi personalmente me gusta mas ons que tiene mas fiesta y es bonita tambien, pero para ir en familia y de viaje tranquilo cies es un lugar unico. read more

Las Islas Cíes forman un archipiélago situado en la boca de la Ría de Vigo, perteneciente a las Rías Bajas, en la Provincia de Pontevedra (Galicia, España). Pertenecen al municipio de Vigo (parroquia de San Francisco de Afora). Fueron declaradas parque natural en 1980, y están incluidas en el Parque Nacional Marítimo-Terrestre de las Islas Atlánticas de Galicia creado en 2002. En febrero del año 2007 el periódico británico The Guardian eligió la playa de Rodas, en la isla de Monteagudo, como 'la playa más bonita del mundo'. Sólo por esto último merece la pena visitarla. El único pero, es que el agua está muy fría. read more

Lo mejor sin duda de Galicia. Sus playas estan orientadas de tal forma que quedan protegidas del viento que llega del atlantico, son de arena blanca y fina y con un mar cristalino ideal para disfrutar de los fondos con variedad de fauna, eso si el agua esta muy fria. Si no conoces a nadie que tenga barco, tendrás que llegar a ellas en los barcos publicos que son un poco caros y en veranos suelen ir llenisimos, pero todo vale la pena para pasar una dia en las Cies. Si quieres acampar pide permiso con antelación, ya que el unico camping que hay esta colapsado y hay un limite de plazas. read more

Las Islas Cies es un pequeño archipiélago de 3 islas pequeñas. Digo lo de pequeñas para que no penséis que las islas son tipo Ibiza ni nada de eso.Están a unos 20 kilómetros de la costa de Vigo.En fin, que es un lugar muy bonito al que os recomiendo que vayáis. read more
