They stay entertained for hours and it's a very safe environment - I don't feel like I need to watch every move that they make. Things to do: Of course there's a phenomenal hayride that will take you to the pumpkin patch. But, there's so much more! The playground area has slides, teeter-totters, a play sand area, the largest bounce map known to man-kind, a tricycle raceway, water pump rubber duck racing, pumpkin ring toss, and this is just the tip of the iceberg! Food: This year there were four food vendors - from funnel cakes to turkey legs they had a decent variety. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good. Picture Perfect Moments: Talk about having the perfect instagram backdrops - this place has thought of it all! There are multiple areas set up for the perfect family photos. I counted at least 6 spot, but I know there's more that I missed! Plan your family outfits, this place is perfect to update your family photo! Honestly, every single year this place gets better and better! I love that your admission gets you a pumpkin so that no one leaves empty handed. It by far is one of the best pumpkin patches in the Savannah area! Hands down it's 5 stars!

This is an adorable furniture store that has an equally adorable coffee bar inside with some delicious and reasonably priced drinks and treats. I grabbed a salted caramel latte and a biscotti and wandered around the various country chic wares while waiting. I was driving through on my way to florida and checked Google maps for a coffee stop that wasn't a big roadside rest stop, wanting something more fun and preferring to support local business. And I hit the jackpot finding this place! I highly recommend anyone in the area check it out for the great espresso drinks and the adorable housewares, paintings, furniture, and gift.

Everyone that arrived for the movie did different things... You can back in and either set up in the bed of a truck, open your trunk and sprawi out, set up lawn chairs, or sit in your vehicle. We hit the bathrooms before ordering our food, and they were SPOTLESS! The stalls are tiny, but, that was easily forgotten with how clean it was. We then headed to the consession building. They have a cute covered patio, with lots of tables and seating. There was table set up with all of the condiments you would need for anything on the menu. They have something on their menu for everyone! The consession has a lot of teenagers working there and every single one of them was attentive and extremely polite! They also did a fabulous job making our food! We ordered hot dogs, chicken, nachos, mozzarella sticks, soft pretzels and funnel cakes! Everything was delicious especially the funnel cakes!!! You've got to get one!!!! As we were walking to our car, we met the owner. He was such a nice guy and he thanked us for coming! Once we were back in our vehicle, we tuned into the radio station that would be playing the sound for our movie and got ourselves situated before the movie started. They started the movie right on time with no issues. The commercials before the movie took you back to the 50's and the quick history lesson about when the drive in movies came to be was so fun! The picture and the sound was great! We all ( including my 2 teenagers) had a great time and easily decided that we would absolutely be coming back!!!

It features retired military aircraft and can be visited without passing through base security. Just take the road toward the gate and carefully make what is probably an illegal u-turn. Named in 1975 for Major General Lewie G. Merritt, a pioneering Marine aviator and South Carolina native, Merritt Field is the airfield portion of MCAS Beaufort. While the base itself is not open to the public, the air park sits just outside the perimeter and offers a modest but meaningful tribute to Marine aviation history. There is a small pull-off area suitable for parking, and from there, you can walk directly up to the aircraft on display. There are no fences or gates restricting access to the planes, making it an easy stop for aviation enthusiasts, families, or anyone curious about military history. When I stopped, I saw four aircraft on display: - F-4 Phantom II: A twin-engine, long-range supersonic jet interceptor and fighter-bomber used extensively during the Vietnam War. - A-4 Skyhawk: A compact, carrier-capable attack aircraft known for its agility and service during the Cold War era. - F/A-18 Hornet: A multirole fighter still in use today, representing the backbone of Marine Corps aviation for decades. - F-35B Lightning II (BF-01): The very first Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing (STOVL) variant of the F-35B, retired and delivered to MCAS Beaufort in August 2025 for permanent display. Each aircraft is mounted on a pedestal or placed on static display pads, accompanied by small plaques or signage detailing its service history. The area is well-kept but informal--there are no restrooms or visitor facilities, just the aircraft and a quiet stretch of lawn. [Review 1322 of 2025 - 1319 in South Carolina - 24874 overall]

I also picked up a few fun facts along the way. First off, the movie was a delight - dancing and singing kazoos narrating the history of this humble little instrument. Kazoobie Kazoos has been cranking out high-quality plastic kazoos in the U.S. since 1999, with nearly a million shipped each year to destinations around the globe. The museum's exhibits walk you through the kazoo's evolution, from early wooden and metal models to the brightly colored plastic versions we know today. One of the standout displays is a giant American flag made entirely of red, white, and blue kazoos - a cheerful tribute to the kazoo's uniquely American roots. Admission is free, the fresh kazoos from the baskets are inexpensive, and the history is genuinely entertaining. Definitely worth the stop!
