Their pricing was the best compared to the other three places I went plus I got a better quality diamond and it was custom made to exactly how my fiancé wanted. It exceeded her expectations and dreams. They have something for everyone and can get anything. The ring was made very fast (less than a week) and gave me plenty of time for my proposal. Extremely Poor Customer Service and Lack of Professionalism I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment with the service I received at Ishtar Jewelry. As a loyal customer, my family and I used to frequent this store to purchase a wide range of jewelry items. However, my recent encounter has left me with no choice but to sever all ties with this establishment. Upon arriving at the store, my family and I patiently waited for assistance for nearly half an hour. Shockingly, the owner did not even acknowledge our presence. To make matters worse, other customers who entered after us were attended to promptly, while we continued to be ignored. It was only after repeatedly pleading for help that the owner finally approached us with a rude attitude. When we mentioned that we wanted to exchange a ring, he dismissively informed us that it was not possible without incurring a financial loss. Despite expressing our willingness to accept the loss, he displayed a complete lack of interest in providing any form of customer service. Instead of assisting us in finding an alternative ring, he proceeded to divert his attention to other customers who had entered the store. Feeling frustrated and disrespected, we made the decision to leave the store immediately, vowing never to return again. Furthermore, we feel obligated to warn others who may have been referred to this place by us in the past. There are numerous other jewelry stores in the vicinity that value their customers and provide exceptional service. To anyone considering doing business with "Ishtar Jewelry" I highly recommend exploring other options. The complete lack of professionalism and disregard for customers' needs that we experienced is inexcusable. Have been coming here for YEARS for all kinds of services. In fact I have 10 ear piercings all done by Toma's and Mazin. Always welcoming and accommodating. They have a great selection of 18k & 21k gold as well as diamonds for all your needs. They value their customers and build relationships rather than treating each customer as a transaction like my previous experience with other jewelers. I recently went in to customize 2 bracelets which NO OTHER jeweler within San Diego accepted or could do for me. My size 13 was apparently unheard of and unattainable to all other jewelers but Toma's was able to do it and the piece turned out absolutely gorgeous. I also customized two rings and ended up purchasing a kids bracelet as well that same day. They buy all kinds of jewelry and by far have the largest and most modern selection that I have seen. This jewelry shop is family owned and operated and I'm always happy to stop by! The value of gold is standard to all other places and fair in my opinion if you have the means to make such a purchase, no surprises there. I'm going back to customize other rings, and later on build on my bracelet stack! read more

Definitely buying from here again! My family and I were visiting San Diego and really wanted to get custom necklaces of mine and my sisters name in Arabic. At first we were worried they wouldn't be ready in time because it was such short notice, but they did it! Over the phone, before we got to SD, we decided on a design (which they were very insightful and helpful with as well), placed an order, and it came out PERFECT! By the time we got to San Diego (literally just two days later) they were able to perfect the necklaces and now its my new favorite piece! Not only have they always been respectful, helpful, and sweet at all times but they have always advised customers on what best fits them and worked with each individual to help them find what they truly like. I walked into this jewelry store when I was waiting for my dentist next door. The guy who helped me, Mike, was amazing. He greeted me when I walked in and helped me with it all. I honestly was just going in there to kill time and I ended up finding a necklace for my mother. The prices are amazing, I got the necklace at 80% off the retail value... Way cheaper than any jewelry store I go to in the mall. I'll definitely be going there for more of my jewelry needs and they are so friendly.
