I have been an Iscential customer for 3 years. In my experience, Iscential has excelled in their outreach and customer service. This is especially important to me as I do not like to think about my insurance more than once a year. As an Iscential customer, I am confident they stay on top of keeping my policies active, and notifying me of any major price increases. If there is a major price increase, I can count on them offering to shop my policies to get me a better rate/coverage blend. Any time I call, I get a representative on the phone within minutes... The same cannot be said of most businesses, let alone insurance agencies. If you're looking for real customer service, I highly recommend this family-owned agency. read more

They have been my insurance broker for the past few years, and have been generally unhelpful and unresponsive with everything--claims, policy changes, you name it. Only when I recently switched to another broker did I realize how terrible the staff at Iscential is at doing their job. My advice is to steer clear of them. read more

Only after I had done weeks of research and gotten quotes from competitors did I hear back from a representative. I switched to Allstate and a day later I got a counter offer from iscential for half the home premium I had been paying. That really annoyed me but I'm happy to report I'm now in good hands with Allstate and I just cancelled my home insurance with Nationwide. My premium now for identical if not higher coverages for my home insurance, auto for 3 cars and 3 drivers, and flood insurance is still less than what I was paying just for home insurance at Nationwide. I am telling as many people as I can how bad this agency managed my insurance needs, and how disappointed I am that I had loyally stayed with them for over 12 years. I did not switch simply because of cost as I was obviously paying a much higher premium just for my home insurance, I switched because I found an agency that took the time to give me the best available coverage, customer service, and reasonable cost as well. New agent actually reviewed everything and made sure I received every eligible discount, something that Iscential failed to do- costing me thousands. With all the storms and damage after Harvey, I feel better knowing I'm now insured with a carrier and an agent that cares about my family's wellbeing and protection - not just selling a policy and neglecting the clients' evolving needs. Jeff at the Iscential office in the Woodland's TX right outside of Houston is very deceitful. What he does is he sends out quotes to potential Houston clients with mock up insurance quotes which are extremely lower than your current rates. When you call him and tell him you're interested he then comes back with much higher quotes. I asked him how the new quote could be so much more than the "Fake" quote he sent me in the mail. He said he uses a Woodlands TX address on the original quote knowing that it would be substantially less than a quote with a Houston address so you will call him. So watch out for this guy and his "Fake" quotes through the mail. I think I'll file this complaint with the Texas Department Of Insurance. read more

We have used Iscential for 1 year and would have provided a better rating previously. However, we had to renew our health insurance this year. I was contacted by our director of benefits person at Iscential. Our discussion - probably won't change though we do not love the insurance coverage and deductibles (not their fault, just the most affordable coverage we could find). Assured there were no worries, just pay the premium and they would send email with renewal info. Never received email, never received premium notice and after several calls I had to make (I was never called) found out our premium would increase by 33% (never told this info) and since our director of benefits sent the info to the wrong email address months ago...now we have a deadline of 1 day to make up our mind about the renewal. I find the customer service with Iscential absolutely pathetic. I cannot get our director of benefits to return my call, respond to an email and the operator cannot give me to someone else to help. So just exactly what does one do? For me, I will write and very poor Yelp rating. Hoping that someone will read it and run in the other direction! Oh yea, I still don't know if I have insurance on 09/19/16 when I mailed a premium to someone on 09/01/16. Can I give someone a negative star rating? This would be the company I do it to.... read more
