Admission: - $30 Pool Temps (3): - Hot (Jacuzzi)(107°F) - Warm (Jacuzzi)(104°F) - Cold Plunge (58°F) Body Scrub: $40 + Admission Overall Impression: When I first reviewed this place 11 years ago, I gave it a 3/5, as the offerings and condition were reasonable for the $15 price at the time. I'm dropping it down to 2 now, because the condition of the facility has only decreased since then, while the price has doubled. They should either drop the price down to $20, or put some money into renovations which it desperately needs. When WiSpa is $40, this place just can't justify charging $30. One other oddity I experienced - I got a body scrub on this most recent visit and the guy who did the scrub demanded a tip right after the service, before I was ready to leave. I told him I needed to dry off and he insisted I walk into the locker room dripping water all over the floor to get him a tip. I thought maybe his shift was over and he wanted it before he left, but no.... he was still there 40 mins later when I was done and ready to leave. Very odd and annoying interaction.

I wondered if he does that to pocket the ten dollars? I've been to at least 4 other Korean spas and never once had this problem. If you're looking in the South Bay area, I'd recommend Riviera spa. Much better.

It's a little closer drive from Long Beach and since gas it's crazy expensive, that's a win for me! The place was super clean, well organized, and labeled. I spent a few hours in the women's only area going back and forth between the hot tubs, cold plunge and wet and dry saunas. My muscles feel super happy! After I have myself a good scrub I got dressed and made my way down to the co-ed portion. There I found a good spot to plop my mat down and work on a paper since it is finals week for me. After that I made my way to the cafeteria for some Spicy Beef Noodle soup. I was surprised at the price tag--$20 for a bowl, but the portion and especially the taste justified it. Definitely ok for a once in a while treat! I ended my 6 hour spa day with sitting outside and working some more on homework before calling it quits. Overall, Riviera is such a gem. $30 for a spa pass to soak, sweat and eat your stress away, will always be worth it in my book. Can't wait to be back soon. :)

Went to Riviera Health Spa with two friends on March 24th. We booked the oil massage ($90 package,…read morewhich includes a day spa pass for $30), but we will never be coming back. After the service, we each received envelopes requesting tips. This was reasonable, but since it was never stated on the website, before, or even during, the service provided. The package we purchased sounded like everything was included, so unfortunately, we did not bring cash. My friend's masseuse, Choi, began giving us odd looks as we were packing up. As soon as we began to leave, we saw her standing by the door blocking our exit. She begins screaming at us, yelling "these three girls did not tip!"in front of all the patrons in the lobby. I ask the front desk attendant if there is any way I can tip with card because I don't have cash on me. She refers me to the ATM inside but when I show her that it fails, she doesn't budge, and the masseuse continues screaming, still blocking the entrance. The front desk lady tells us that just this once I can pay for a cash tip with my card, no option of leaving without one. I ask her to tip $36, and she pretends she doesn't hear me, saying, "$46?" twice after I repeat "no, $36" before shaking her head, sighing loudly, and saying, "if you really want to tip $36 then go ahead". I give her my card and she tosses cash down on the counter. The second the envelopes are stuffed, everyone's demeanor completely changes and suddenly they're thanking us, waving goodbye, and wishing us a good night and to come back again soon. My party including myself are minors. We were scared of what would happen if we didn't tip. I would have been happy to tip if the situation was handled any other way, but this was outrageous, since we were intimidated into not being able to leave. This was supposed to be a fun and relaxing birthday getaway trip, but ended up being the scariest and most frustrating part of our time in LA. I keep seeing the team reply to reviews similar to this with a ChatGPT generated response saying that this is not their standard, but there are so many reviews saying otherwise. Will be choosing any spa but this one from now on.

We were fortunate to book the Valentine's Day couples massage package, which made the visit even more special. While the pricing may be slightly higher than other Korean spas, the value becomes very clear once you experience the level of privacy and care they provide. If you're someone who appreciates quiet, personal time whether as a couple or with family, this is absolutely the right place. The package included a full massage along with access to the hot stone spa. The hot stone spa area also features a shower whirlpool, which was incredibly relaxing. They provide shampoo, body wash, and hair treatment products, but you're welcome to bring your own if you prefer. Before entering, they provide two sets of clothing: one designated for the hot stone spa and a long gown for the massage session, which adds a thoughtful and comfortable touch to the experience. Overall, the atmosphere reflects a very refined and authentic Japanese cultural aesthetic, peaceful, clean, and detail-oriented. It truly felt like a private retreat rather than just a spa visit. Highly recommended for special occasions or anyone looking to unwind in a more intimate setting.

Throughout the session, the same amount of pressure is applied, no loss in energy from the masseuses which i must applaud. I especially have LOTS of pain in my lower back and legs, whereas the guys seem to care most tension in their upper body. I was able to convey this to the owner via text and asked for deep tissue for all three of us. They are very flexible with their timing and you can really switch up based off of what you need (example: I asked for 15min feet instead of the 30 for the 30-90 package) The interior is very soothing with music playing over the speakers with sounds of rushing water. There are bo private rooms, it is all separated via curtains but I did not see any gaps and did not feel uncomfortable at any time. You will have to undress until you are in just your bottom underwear, this is pretty standard for most massage places so please be aware of that. They have a small table for you to put your belongings in the same room you will receive your massage. When the lady came in it was pretty obvious she wasn't able to speak english all too well. But she was very kind and soft spoken and checked in with me multiple times throughout the massage. This massage was very upper body focused so please expect them to focus on your neck and upper back. Personally, my masseuse was extremely strong and I felt like she was breaking my back (in a good way). She uses her whole body to apply pressure and I felt many knots in my neck being worked. However, the only reason I give this place 4 stars is because I specifically requested for my lower back and my legs with the owner and with the masseuse multiple times but I don't feel this request was met. I explained my main problem area was my lower back and she spent maybe 5-10minutes of the entire 90minute massage in that area which disappointed me. I am a 5'2" and 115lbs girl so for me, she felt quite strong and I actually had to ask her for a bit more softness. However, the boys told me their masseuses felt way too gentle and they wished they could've been rougher. There are only female masseuses here so if you are hoping for a stronger touch, you may need to look elsewhere. The ladies are extremely skilled but I do think on a larger body they may fall a little short on power. Overall the experience was nice and I would definitely come here again just based off the price! However, I hope they will be a little more accommodating as it seems they just give most people the same massage routine.

At my first Hydrafacial-the machine wasn't working. My facialist spent the first 20 minutes attempting to get the suction to work, testing it on her arm, even resetting and cleaning the machine. No luck. She was able to apply a peel then proceed with manual extractions. While the facialist was professional and talented- I shouldn't be paying for a hydrafacial if I didn't receive the machine exfoliation and treatment. Aside it being a flawed atmosphere with obviously waiting to get the machine to work. I find this completely unacceptable and if management reached back out we could have found a solve.
