Kalamazoo has such a rich cultural heritage, and so much of that is thanks to the legacy of Irving S. Gilmore, the late, local businessman and musician. While the Irving S. Gilmore International Keyboard Festival is what comes to most people's mind when they think about Gilmore's legacy, the foundation also supports slews of local art, culture, eduction and wellbeing-focused organizations and non-profits. If it's culture-enriching and in the Kalamazoo area, chances are it's a benefactor of Gilmore grants.
