The folks at the dealership have done thier job , so this is no dis respect to them …read more My base home was 96,000 . By the time we were done with extras we here over 135000. We waited 10 months to get our home . We have now been in the home 4 months. First off our a shelf fell down in our pantry after 3 days , another after 5 days . The next weekend I had to rebuild the entire pantry. We had barely moved in nevermind properly stock our shelves . The majority of or interior doors do not work . Some have 1 inch gaps in spots . I adjusted both sliders and the front door myself, so that we could use and lock them . My fireplace has 9 inches to the window on the right of it and 3 inches to the left of it . The light directly above the fireplace should be centered. I have no idea what they were thinking, its centered on nothing. The fan on the back porch is a foot out of center. Absolutely no excuse for this , simply no quality control . Do you like the sound of smoke detectors? Our smoke detectors go off when we cook a piece of toast . No matter what we cook we are serenaded by our smoke detectors! We have things in our home we did not order or want . We have 2 screen doors that don't fit our sliders . Every outlet on the exterior walls are drafty , again no quality control. We paid extra for more insulation. I doubt we received that ! We have broken fascia in many spots around the home . The soffit all the way around have gaps for the bugs to climb right in and build nest . I cannot begin to express the disappointment I have with this home . I feel like the word suckered is branded across my forehead!

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM OR YOU WILL BE SORRY! The only good thing about them are the sales people -I…read morebelieve they really do care, they are professional and nice but they have ZERO control of what corporate does after you purchase your home. This is important because when you speak to them, you think what a fantastic offer and they quote the great warranty being offered etc. and you trust they will make it happen. In reality they can't, and corporate takes over after the home is delivered. Also, never, never sign off on your mortgage to release funds to Prestige or any other builder as they demand. It takes months after delivery to actually be able to live in your house and they are sitting happy with your money taking all the time in the world to get things done. Meanwhile your are stuck making payments to the mortgage company for months when you can't live in your house. Talk with your mortgage company about your rights, don't listen to Prestige or other builders they lie! Once the money is released you have no leverage. Here is my story about Prestige. We bought our home from Prestige about 2 years ago. I waited all this time to write a review as I believe so many people give negative reviews without allowing ample time for the company to respond and fix an issue, as in life things happen and things take time. However, it is clear that Prestige has ZERO interest in a satisfied customer or in building a quality home. The quality of workmanship is that of a high school shop class at best and all materials used are of the lowest grade. I have had so many issues I can't possibly list them all, but here are a few. 2 weeks before delivery and after they were already months past the original due date of the home delivery, we were called into the office for a demand of an additional $10,000 above the contract amount. We had to pay in cash as the mortgage was already set and could not be changed. Had we not had the $10,000 they stated they would sell our model to another person and they would use our deposit toward the pre-work site plan, septic, well etc. and any additional above our deposit we would be liable for. Upon the homes arrival, water pipes were not hooked up correctly inside which caused water damage. It is the buyers responsibility to insure there are no leaks when the water is turned on - so we chose to pay extra for a plumber to be here and thank God we did so there was minimum damage as water was leaking everywhere. We also paid an extra $2500 for upgraded appliances only to get the absolute bottom line of Frigidaire (basically we doubled paid for appliances with the upgraded amount paid), when questioned they stated they were upgraded appliance to them since they were a name brand. Would have been much better off to buy appliances at the local Lowes. The appliance were obviously stored somewhere for years as they were 2-3 years old according to their manufacturing dates and dented. Frigidaire has been out 4 times and after the 1st year its all on us. After 2 years, we are still waiting for the proper handles on the fridge that are supposedly on back order and can only be ordered by Prestige warranty. Service guy said they are not on backorder. All the GFI electrical outlets were put in backwards causing months and months of aggravation, when after 6 months they had their repair person FINALLY show up to "fix" he state everything was fine changed 1 GFI and stated the real issue is the breaker box being extra sensitive and we should, at our expense, get a new higher quality breaker box installed. I called an electrician and it was discovered it wasn't a breaker box issue after all, the GFI were all installed backwards causing tripped breakers as well as other crossed wires. Again at my expense. Cabinets, counter tops, sinks, faucets, tubs, showers, outside siding, etc. are all of lowest quality. Cabinet are contact paper on top of particle board, bottom of cabinets are different colors and not the right materials, tubs and showers cracked and scratched up within months of use, siding was installed incorrectly and had to be repaired at my expense - the list goes on and on. Still having drainage problems from the shower after multiple attempts to fix. The warranty they offer is a lie when they finally send someone out from corporate to do the work, they state nothing is wrong and you have to hire outside to get it done right. The only work that was ever done right was the extra we paid in our original contract for the drywall option and Prestige hired a local company to do the the drywall work. They did a great job. There are many other companies to choose from I advise you to do your research. After living here for 2 years with many owners of manufactured/mobile homes I have heard similar stories from other dealers as well. Seems there are only a few good ones out there.

Two years later and I'm still dealing with issues in my home--and I'm completely fed up…read more When I first moved in, I submitted an extensive punch list with multiple problems that needed to be fixed. Fast forward to today, and many of those issues were never addressed. Most recently, I discovered a roof leak that clearly began during the construction process. When I called to report it, I was told that my two-year warranty had expired--despite the fact that the issue stems from poor construction, not general wear and tear. And when they didn't like how I responded, they hung up on me. Completely unprofessional. What's even more upsetting is that I'm not alone. I've seen so many other homeowners complaining about the exact same problems--unaddressed repairs, poor construction, no accountability, and rude customer service. This seems to be a widespread issue with this builder, and yet they continue to sell homes and ignore the people who trusted them with one of the biggest purchases of their lives. It's also extremely suspicious how they handle their reviews. There are tons of detailed, negative reviews from real homeowners like me--and yet the company always responds saying they "can't find the customer in their system." That's clearly their go-to excuse to avoid taking responsibility. Meanwhile, many of the positive reviews seem fake or written by friends or employees just trying to boost their image. Don't fall for it. At this point, I'm seriously considering hiring an attorney. It should never come to this, but they've left me no choice. Homeowners deserve better than this kind of treatment. Bottom line: take the negative reviews seriously. They are 100% accurate, and I wish I had paid more attention to them before buying. Run far away from this company--they do not care about their customers, and they do not stand behind their work.
