I've been training with Nick, the owner, for over a year now. I enjoy our sessions together. I…read morefinally have a regular schedule with Nick, but I started out going to random sessions throughout the week, based on my schedule abs his availability. I always found him to be very flexible with me. The sessions don't come cheap, but hey, you get what you pay for. That's a common theme in life. Don't forget it. Nick monitors my progress but is also very open when it comes to movements and weights. Some days I have knee pain, some days I don't. If the weight looks easy, he will increase the reps or the weight. Sometimes I am the one who says I can do more weight, and he increases it. Sometimes I am tired and sore and he asks me how I'm doing/feeling and makes adjustments based on that. I've never been injured working with Nick. He watches my movements and corrects me as needed. He asks me if and what I've trained outside of the gym so he can tailor my workout to areas I've missed. I enjoy conversing with Nick as I train. The studio is private, so my sessions are always one on one, but the gym is a membership only place, so occasionally there are other people working out. The personal training clients get first dibs on the equipment when with Nick, but there is enough stuff and space that we are never negotiating with other people. He moved to a new gym space recently and it's more spacious than the prior spot. He also has gathered more equipment. Parking is way better now too and there are separate male and female bathrooms. I'd say the new place is a major upgrade. I only do the personal training. So while I can't speak for the gym membership, what I know is- the price is reasonable, you get 24 hour access with scheduled appointment (so the gym isn't overbooked) and there are security cameras for your safety. Check his page on IG for more info, @theweighthouse and his website theweighthouse.com as well. He also has some fantastic merch for sale.

The equipment here is top-notch, and the members are super friendly (except for that one girl who's always in the way with her jump rope - jk that's me.) I never knew working out could be so entertaining. The members are like a cast of characters straight out of a sitcom. There's the guy who grunts so loudly you'd think he's summoning a demon, and the woman who is always in a matching sports bra and legging set (seriously, how does she do it that early in the morning?), the girl with head phones in, but is always listening and our beloved neat freak keeping us all in check when we didn't re-rack our weights that one time. Great local CrossFit gym that is getting ready to open soon! Did a little tour- they have a huge…read moreregular gym side for personal training and what not, as well as a large CrossFit gym. The equipment is standard CrossFit stuff, made by Valor. They also have rowers and echo bikes. There is a long row on the back wall of bars for pull-ups, muscle ups etc. I've done a couple unofficial workouts here with local community members and friends and family of the owner. I've invited a couple friends as well. Everyone has felt welcome and they go over everything for the newbies. They're keen on letting people know how to modify or scale the workout according to your fitness level, age, injuries etc. I have never had any issue finding equipment for the workout. There is enough to go around. The warmup sometimes is a little jog around the parking lot and they have it all measured. I can't wait for this place to be up and running fully. I hear they may have a cool hangout area, lockers, showers, even a tanning bed. We shall see! In the meantime- they are on instagram so check them out there for more info.

I've trained at a lot of places over my lifetime of being a martial arts fan, and the way these instructors stand out is they have enough knowledge to help you build your own style doing moves you like to do or that work for your body type and natural abilities. I have to agree wholeheartedly with all of the reviews here. FFC is by far the best fitness studio…read morein the Orlando area. This place is really just a cut above every other gym I've ever been to- though it's almost unfair to compare it with any other place because the model is so different. FFC offers one-on-one and small group personal training, that's it. There are no drop-ins or self-directed exercises where you mindlessly use a cardio or weight machine, etc. All of the trainers are friendly, supportive and unintimidating (yeah even you, Wayne!) I started out obese and desperately needed structure, discipline and support. I found all of that and more in my trainer, Travis Sillery. He showed me the patience and encouragement I needed, kept me motivated, challenged my ability, believed in me and always made the workouts fun. I actually looked forward to each visit! I'm not gonna lie, there were times I was pushed to my limits, but I loved it. Travis isn't just another trainer, he is is truly a caring person who will become a friend. Not only does he educate his clients during workouts, but he really lives what he teaches! His positive attitude will permeate your entire outlook and will live on far beyond each personalized training session. Travis quite literally changed my life. Today, I am in the best shape I have ever been in and finally fall into the normal weight category. There is still some room for improvement, but I couldn't have made it this far without him. (THANK YOU!) I only left FFC as a client because I moved out of the state, but had I been able to take Travis and everyone else with me, I would have! If you are serious about getting in shape, check out Travis and FFC! Travis's rate is VERY reasonable, and he will help you succeed! Trust me, you won't regret it!

My go-to guy was Jarret. I can't say enough good things about him! He always made our sessions fun (even though I secretly think he was trying to kill me!), pricing was very reasonable and he was super flexible to accommodate my ridiculous schedule. Jarret is the BEST. TRAINER. EVER. He helped me lose almost 25 lbs and, more importantly, feel better than I'd ever felt! I haven't been able to find anyone who compares out here in California.
