The gym is in an old bank - even has some really neat bank features, like an old vault made New York Vault Company. For Anglophones, m = mujeres; h = hombres. Could have made that mistake if it wasn't for the really nice counter/reception attendant who walked me past the women's locker room and pointed up the stairs where I would find the men's locker room. It's nice enough with several shower stalls and toilets. Stalls are opaque glass for privacy. Lockers for rent for $20mex. The day pass cost $105mex which is cheaper than most US gyms of the same quality. Gym is stocked with traditional gym equipment: treadmills, bikes, universal machines, dumbbells, barbells. They have a full range available. Upstairs they have two studios - I didn't use either. But I saw a schedule of classes ranging from aerobics to military style conditioning. One studio has cool cross for ropes and rings. I was impressed, even wished I had some trainer to teach me stuff. One fitness trainer was super helpful to those that asked for advice. He was super fit and seemed friendly enough. The clientele was about 70:30 men:women more mixed than I'm used to. That was nice. Glad I went. I would definitely go again.

Over the course of a month I visited about three times a week and the place was never busy, well-maintained, and, though small, had everything I needed. A day pass was only about 70 pesos, which is incredibly reasonable. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. To note: the gym is 24 hours but only staffed Mon-Sat, about 8-5ish. Without a staff present, you cannot access the space. Also, there are no lockers. Everyone leaves their bags in cubbies in an open area. I was initially a little nervous about this but it was fine. There are men's and women's showers and bathrooms. I did ruin a shirt in the men's bathroom, as someone threw straight bleach on the floor to clean/sanitize some of the bathroom and my shirt briefly grazed the floor. I came back here today to check it out, and find out what all has changed in terms of the facility, membership plans and pricing. Unfortunately my interaction with Vera at the reception desk brought back the reasons why I don't like this gym. In as much as the monthly membership plans price seems reasonable, it's really out of reach for any foreigner who wants to join and is not Mexican. The same rules apply as from six years ago. No they do not accept credit cards that were issued outside of Mexico. No you cannot use cash to even pay for the membership. Even though they offer the monthly membership, you still need to give them thirty days notice of your intentions to cancel. So if the foreigner needs to return to his country within those 30 days, you sir are out of luck. No, you can't cancel over the phone, and it must be cancelled only in writing. If someone could please explain to me how any foreigner can become a member of this gym if a) they cannot pay with a regular U.S. based credit card, b) they cannot pay with cash, c) they must cancel in writing no less than 30 days. Vera also explained to me that the Manager Alejandro was simply too busy to speak with me because he was doing his workout. She offered me no suggestions of someone else who I could speak with, and I was sumarilly dismissed. It seems like they offer a really nice facade with a quite ugly form of treating potential members.

The cycle classes are very much the same as SoulCycle. The classes are in Spanish but if you don't speak it just let the front desk know and the instructor will also give instructions in English. I had Claudia and Torres and my instructors and they were both amazing! Super energetic and classes were difficult but that makes them challenging and super worth it. I know some people feel a certain way about working out on vacation but in a place like Mexico City where you eat 10 times a day, I HIGHLY recommend Síclo to even things out!

This gym seems to be larger then the one I was at previously, and I notoced three trainers helping some ofbtue members while I was their. Mynroutine is very straightforward, and I only stick with four of the the workout machines. The first thing that I use is the treadmill. I'm good for about fifteen minutes running on that. Then I rotate to do four sets of thr chest press machine, arms and biceps, amd finally abdominales. I likebtue fact that their equipment is modern and up-to-date, which is not always the case at some independent gyms in the area.

This gym is always super busy and it's probably because of the gym facility and new updated equipment. Everytime that I've come to work out, I rarely have ever needed to wait for the treadmill or one of my regular go-to machines. I stick to 7 work out machines that don't include the treadmill or stair machine. I swotch-up on the type of workouts as well like focusing on the legs one day and the upper body the next day. Ive been pretty good and I've managed to make it in almost every other day. Ive also noticed some modest body improvements, so I will continue my workouts here for as long as they let me!
