This was a great place to have friends meet. We had a party of 8 and didn't have a wait. The indoor dining is spread out with a comfortable atmosphere. The server kept our water glasses full from the time we sat down until we left. Someone in the party needs to be members of the establishment. They say it is not expensive. You get a lot of food for the price. This was an excellent date night. The salmon on the salad was the best I have had in the CSRA. The salad had a whole avocado and a whole hard boiled egg sliced on it. The crispy bacon put it over the top. We will be at the next group gather here.

Huh...back for first time after close and new owners took on the Iron Horse! Congrats on successful opening. It's a Saturday night and place is hopping. Live music and everything!! Menu is new...very meat forward and very limited (one page). With a limited menu the kitchen should be able to push out amazing food. Not quite... See into the kitchen, burgers are frozen and only served "fully cooked." Disappointing for a grill establishment. We had Yukon Chips...like warm with unmelted cheese (disappointing). We had the ahi tuna appetizer...tasted like it had been previously frozen. We had black bean burger....not bad, but lacked a sear and was ultimately mushy. Fries were fantastic...sell those more. A good poutine would sell amazing!! Staff are young, very nice. Live music was nice. Fresh coat of paint & interior "facelift" much needed & we'll done. Kitchen buildout looks 1000% better. Go, have a beer, appetizer, and make own decision.

Good food good prices nice facility. You have to try the beer shot if you're over 21.

Yukon chips is their name for homemade potato chips.

45 minutes to get our food and the place was relatively empty. The burger tasted like bad meatloaf.

It is with shame in my heart and tears in my eyes that I must admit I have been in Augusta for over…read more13 years and not once stepped foot inside Soul Bar. Was it proximity? Of course not. It's on Broad Street! And it's near Stillwater Taproom, Nacho Mama's, and now The Book Tavern. Was it the appearance from the outside? Of course not. It looks so cool in the front windows and I knew there was a billiards table in the back. I also knew the history of (circa 1995), but somehow my feet and love for all things bourbon and rye did not draw me across the threshold. Until that fateful afternoon. Thankfully I have a mentor who spoke of its greatness (and his nostalgic connection from years gone by) and knew he must right the wrong that was my lack of patronage. We met up during Happy Hour and within moments I had entered a new world. Movie posters (authentic, not cheap replicas) everywhere. Art from front to back. The bar was lit up and one of the televisions had Mortal Kombat (the game) setup. We walked the length of the place, which will surprise you the first time you venture inside), and I learned more in depth the history of this bar. As if the assorted seating, plethora of drink choices, and the presence of an actual dance floor wasn't enough we went out the back door. There I learned about the "smoking section" that holds about 30 folks. Tables, umbrellas, and benches all await. But honestly it looks like the cool kids table I remember from school. I'm told the place can get packed when a DJ is onsite or a popular band. After a couple of drinks and good conversation, he asked me what my thoughts were on the place. I explained it like this; this is the kind of bar you go to regularly or not at all. Like, I don't see a bunch of new people wandering in every night. Just the usual crowd. And downtowns need more bars like that. Just as a coffee shop has a unique vibe from the others, so do bars. And all reach a certain demographic. So the more we have, the more people come which is just plain out good for the local economy. I'll also add that the bartender seemed to be having fun. I only mention it because some bartenders are never having a good day. Just saying.

This place is always developing something new for Augusta like live music nights, themed dance…read moreparties, and more! For a divey time portal, everyone can get a taste of everything quirky, funky, and fresh. Takes me back to New York City and I enjoy the different programming and cocktail menu's. Alex their bartender is a freaking genius and has made me several custom cocktails! They take cash, card, and even apple pay! Cover isn't always and isn't expensive when it is. Bathrooms could use some love but other than that I really do enjoy coming here for happy hour or an evening.

I decided to check Aiken out last week and made sure to stop by GGB. I really enjoy trying local…read morebeer and figured I'd swing by. All in all, I really enjoyed my visit. They have a great space with plenty of seating, both indoors and out. They have TVs throughout the brewery so watching a game there is probably pretty easy. I started with the onion rings and then went with the double smash burger and I have to say it was solid. They also have a great selection of beers which included several guest taps. My only piece of constructive criticism is that when I got my 3 growlers filled at the end of my visit (because they have good beer and I wanted to drink more later), my growlers were neither sealed nor labeled. For those that don't know, breweries usually label the growlers with beer your ordered and seal it so it doesn't leak. I've only ever run into this once before, it was in Amarillo, TX. I didn't make a fuss about it but it didn't come off as the most professional or polished in that respect. I'd really like to see them reexamine this part of their operation and possibly consider branded labels for the growlers (so that you know what you're drinking) and branded caps (their dog logo would fit perfectly and be a good way to rep the brand). Overall, I had a great visit. But I'll inquire before getting my growlers filled again.

It's a small place sort of looked like it could have been a fast food restaurant. There was plenty of seating. You could order from the menu or from the hot table (not sure what else to call it). There were two ladies working up front and it took a long time to order. I had the fried chicken with mashed potatoes, green beans, a cornbread muffin and a tea (half sweet/half unsweetened). My colleague had meatloaf, Mac and cheese, green beans, and a biscuit. We each ordered peach cobbler. They serve a lot of food! My colleague said she was going to take some for dinner. Well. . . she ate everything. It must have been really good. I haven't had good fried chicken in a long time and it was delicious. I ate all the green beans and the cornbread. I took the chicken to eat later. The mashed potatoes started out tasting good but then I started to notice an after taste that I didn't like. I didn't eat them. My colleague could not eat the cobbler. I'm not sure what was wrong with it but she tasted it and said she couldn't eat it. I unfortunately never got to eat mine. It sat in the fridge in the hotel and I ended up tossing it before I left. I was a little disappointed. I really was expecting some grits and maybe some greens (not green beans).

The cooks' hands are blessed, because the way I INHALED that food should be a crime in itself. The decor was cute and festive for the occasion, but all I could concentrate on was that FOOD.
