I came here for my birthday and me and my friends had an amazing time. The staff were so nice and the food was amazing!

Been here twice. I don't recall loving it the first time I went but I really enjoyed it my second time. I do have to say the service was not great. Our server (Mirhanda I think was her name) seemed like a nice enough girl but she wasn't very proactive and she only refilled our drinks once after the glass had been empty for several minutes. It was almost like the servers were instructed to wait for the hibachi to be cooked before they could refill drinks. Regardless, the food was very good. I got the chicken and fried rice. However, I didn't love the onion dressing on the salad. You will smell like fried food when you leave so be prepared for that. read more

I have been twice so far and had a good time on both occasions. We had a really fun cook last time and the food was prepared perfectly. I always get the filet when we do this type of cuisine. It was a nice, tender and well flavored. Everyone in the group was happy with the food. The spring rolls there are a little small but tasty. The ginger and yum yum sauces are really good. Staff was friendly and got most everything right on our large party, which is a feat not accomplished very often! We did lunch and the portions were just as large as dinner (minus a soup or salad) for nearly half the price. I would recommend trying out this restaurant. read more

We love Iron Chef! This is our favorite place. Our favorite server Olivia is the absolute best. She remembers us every time . She is kind ,friendly, and , so good at what she does. The chefs are great, and they do a good job with the teppan cooking. On special occasions or just because times we go here. Food is delicious. Totally recommend the Japanese plum wine. They also offer a sit down resturant, and bar incase you are not into the teppan cooking. But do try it atleast once. Spatulas flying, ggs binging juggled, onion volcanos, and even customers catching bites of rice in midair. We love Iron Chef. read more

Place is run down and needs a big facelift or to close. Better chef presentation than Fujiyama, but that's not saying much. Food was below average - small portion of lobster and filet mignon. Lots of rice filler with a small portion of vegetables. The worst part was the insane rushed pace they put us through. We arrived at 6pm on a Friday, expecting dinner and entertainment for approx 1 - 1 1/2 hours. Waiter was pushing each course so fast we couldn't work from one item to the next. Annoying and insensitive! One of my clueless colleagues remarked "well that's the way they do it to get customers through." I noted the place was pretty much empty before, during and after our 8 person party. Never going back. read more

Best hibachi in the Columbus area--and yes, that includes local favorite Genji. It is one of the few places that still does egg yolk sauce on their scallops, and it is amazingly good (Don't mind the fact that it looks like a cup of mayonnaise. I'm sure it's calorie free). The appetizers are good too, but heaven knows you won't need extra food, because the portions are huge. read more

The portion sizes are out of this world. One order could feed a family of 4. The food is middle of the road when it comes to a Japanese steakhouse. The hibachi chef did a good job, although he broke some eggs on the floor, ha. We sat at an 8 top table alone- so it was a little awkward having this chef "perform" for us. $50 for 3 people to eat. Edamame was apparently from the freezer. Shrimp appetizer that came with the meal contained TWO small shrimp. Overpriced for amount of steak. BUT it was clean, better than a couple others in town, and the staff was nice. read more

I think this is the best Japanese Steak House in the Columbus area. I especially like the lunch prices.

I tried this place for the first time with a friend during lunch. Prices don't seem bad for lunch time. I got steak and chicken for 12.95, extra fried rice, and salad came with the meal. It' close to my house and this place is yummy =)! I still like Genji's better but this place is pretty darn close. read more

We've lived in Reynoldsburg for years and had never been here... We've been missing out! The service was friendly and the food was delicious. We both ordered the filet mignon and shrimp and it seemed cooked to perfection. The serving sizes were huge, and I loved the flavor of the grilled vegetables. I have a severe wheat/gluten allergy which I advised the server about and so my food was prepared in the kitchen rather than on the grill at the table--the only downside to that was my food arrived about 15 minutes after everyone else had been served. But we ended up really liking the folks seated at our table and thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Iron Chef. When I said goodbye and thanked the staff as we were leaving, they all smiled and thanked us for coming in. We'll definitely be returning! read more

There are quite a few Japanese restaurants in the greater Columbus area that cook hibachi style and this is one of the best. Prices are reasonable and the cooks are entertaining and efficient. A great place to eat. They are a firm 10 on the YUM scale. read more

If you enjoy eating bugs then eat here! I was seated by the hostess and immediately saw bugs crawling all over the grill and up into the sauce cups. I said I think you have a problem here. He offered me a new table and proceeded to seat someone else at the bug table. I left and have never set foot inside this place again. Let the diner beware! read more

This place is a hidden gem in Pickerington! Although the hibachi is fantastic (and I've had it on several occasions), their sushi is specifically what we go for! Always fresh, great selection, and definitely rivals some of the other sushi restaurants in Columbus. We love the management, too. Very friendly and accommodating. If you are looking for a good sushi place on the east side, this is the place to go! read more

We always enjoy our time at Iron Chef! Tonight was no exception! The food outstanding and the staff even better. We did make a reservation, expecting a long wait due to the holiday. But usually, we just drop by to eat dinner on a typical weekend. The parking is good at this location too. read more

This was our first visit to an Iron Chef. It was Mother's Day, so a wait was expected. But they estimated 30-minute wait, which turned into 55 minutes. One hour wait to be seated. Then another 15 before the appetizers arrived. Anyway, the Mushroom Soup and salad were a welcomed arrival. No shrimp appetizer provided with the entree, even though it is printed on the menu. Main hibachi course was great! Large portions of rice with fried mushrooms, onion and zucchini. My 11-yr old son said the steak was delicious. The chef was entertaining, joked with us, tossed rice in the kids mouth, .. flipped a whole egg from the spatula up into his chef hat. Talented! The waitstaff were very nice and somewhat attentive. But at the end, the waitstaff fumbled the check-out. First they lost my credit card, which we found on the floor. Second, they charged another customer's bill to my card. They ran a void , but I'll need to double-check to make sure that it was actually voided. Hope this explains my 3-star rating of Iron Chef. -m- read more

I tried this place today since it had more star ratings than my usual Fugi's. sadly I was not happy AT ALL! The food is not as good, the chef was entertaining but that's why it has any stars at all. The service was HORRIBLE!! We went at lunch time and paid $20 a person which would be ok for a great experience. First time there and they forgot to put my steak on the grill, the waitress was asked to refill my soda and she forgot, as well as forgetting the hot sauce. As soon as we had food on our plates our checks were handed out and 2 to 3 minutes later they were asking to put our food in to go boxes!! I declined the first go around but the second time they asked 3 minutes later I just gave up!! One of the guests at our table was eating his lunch from the styrofoam container!! Shouldn't $20 par person allow us not to be rushed out? Should we have not enjoyed our dining experience? When my husband reminded the server she never brought my refill she quickly offered a to go cup!! Like see ya!? Awful, will NEVER RETURN! read more

I just left here and will not go back again. The service was slow. Waited for the chef for over an hour and when he did come he did not know what he was doing he drop food on the floor and the food did not taste good at all. He used so much soy sauce he ran out. read more

My family of six had a fantastic dinner at Iron Chef this evening. This was our first visit to Iron Chef and we expect to return. We've been to several Hibachi grills and the Iron Chef rates up there with the best. Atmosphere and Chef were delightful but, the taste of the food was exceptional. Perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. The well seasoned taste was better than other Hibachi steakhouses. Truly some of the most delicious Japanese steakhouse food we have enjoyed. Mixed feelings on this one. I really like the food, the show is wonderful, chef was funny, a good entertainer. I had the shrimp and scallops and it was very good. The service other than the chef was somewhat lacking, I specifically asked if the shrimp appetizer listed as coming with the meal would be included since on my prior visit it was not, gentleman said yes but it was not served. Was somewhat difficult to get a drink refill this time, and as far as taking kids there, it's good for the show but I won't be doing it again. For $16 for a four year old kiddo, which includes two apple juices at $3/ea, he wouldn't eat anything but the shrimp. This is surprising because this kid eats Chinese frequently, eats Thai and Indian food, even Sag Paneer. Here he thought the salad was weird (the dressing), didn't care for the mushroom soup, I'm not sure why not the rice here vs Chinese and not particularly the restaurant's fault but a little pricey for a kiddo meal considering. Will likely be back without him, though won't go as often due to that. read more

I went here with friends to celebrate a birthday. It'd been a long time since I'd been to a Japanese steakhouse. It was alot of fun and the food was so delicious. You'll want to reserve your seats and time. My party there early but it was ok. We got to sit with a family as they were just arriving. A table will seat 7 people. The menu had variety. I got the combo of steak and chicken. With that, came a refreshing salad and a mushroom soup. It was so good! The chef came and prepared everyone's meal on a clean grill. He was also very interactive so be prepared. That's the fun of it! The meal was so good and there was so much - I took leftovers that lasted me 2 days. The adult beverages were ok. I think I expected a little more. The down part was getting charged for a birthday treat for my friend. Alot of restaurants won't charge you. But nevertheless, I recommend going. You will have alot of fun & you'll enjoy good food. read more

We tried to have a nice dinner because a friend had given us a coupon, but the restaurant would not accept it even though we read through all the fine print and there was no legitimate reason. It seems that they are more concerned with saving a few $ than providing good service or retaining customers. We will not go back in the future. Try FuGu Sushi instead. read more

I liked this place when it first opened. Now not so much. They have signs on the wall that someone printed on regular printer paper they are burned to a crisp and I've been twice and no one has changed them. Also the walls painted red are black now. It looks dirty. I won't be back. They charge like a high end restaurant which they are not. I used to go to Genji all the time and thought I'd give this place a try. I'm glad I tried it. Their steak melts in your mouth and they have this egg yolk sauce that they make with their scallops that's pretty good. Genji doesn't have the egg yolk sauce which pretty much gives Iron Chef a one up on Genji in my opinion. I still love them both though. read more

Love this place! Super convenient location for a hibachi restaraunt that I had no idea even existed before. We had passed it many times, but never realized what it was. Service was great, everyone was kind and the hibachi chef was fun. Food was cheaper (very slightly) than other hibachi restaraunts and still came in large servings. We'll definitely be back. read more
