    Spicy chicken , Hawaiian bulgogi

The food here is amazing. I had come previously, I tried the lunch specials this time and COCO & KEVIN was an amazing host . Love how they came every 5 minutes to check up on us ! There was about 3 tables filled when I came so no crowd which I love . Loved the ambiance .

Iron Age is a cool KBBQ spot in the Columbia Heights, offering AYCE meat over a 90-minute period. My friends and I primarily ate the regular and Hawaiian bulgogi, as well as the spicy squid, but there are also several chicken, beef and shrimp options. For the dinner offer, the meal (not including extra add ons and drinks) is a little over $40 per person, after taxes and tip. In addition to the meat options, the servers came often to check if we wanted extra rice, sauces and side vegetables, which are included in the AYCE. Service was great with how often the waiters checked in and solid experience with Kpop music and videos playing in the background.

We arrived for dinner around 8 on a Sunday night. I was expecting for a wait only to be seated immediately. Service was friendly and our server was attentive. I ordered a beer and we started with beef bolgogi. SO GOOD! We also ended up ordering the spicy chicken, spicy pork bulgogi, shrimp, and seasoned steak. Our favorite was the spicy pork bolgogi because it was super tender and had delicious flavor. Idk what it was about this grill, but it made all the meat we had taste so flavorful and bbq-y. Ambience: K-pop was blasting in the background and people were having a good time laughing and eating. Dinner was about $35 after tip. This is probably one of my favorite locations compared to others bc they weren't rushing us to finish like other locations do. Will definitely be coming back!

$29 ayce per person, gratuity included for our 6p group. We liked cooking for ourselves. Our server Luis does good work. Watching Kpop videography while meat cooks is fun. Competitive pricing makes small inconveniences worth it. The single grill table is too small to feed 6 hungry hippos, but is perfectly ok if your appetite is reasonably hungry. Pacing was a little bit slow, but again, that's a 6 people issue. We will gladly adjust for next time (split into 2 groups, ask for next meat to arrive more ahead of time). We liked ordering the Soy Beef Steak and Brisket on repeat and will do that again next time. +++ Soy Marinated Beef Steak ++ Brisket (tad dry) + Montreal Seasoned Beef Steak + Marinated Squid | Plain Shrimp - Plain Top Blade (too dry)

Hands down, the best Korean food I've had in a while! The soy steak was out of this world, and the soy pork was so tender it just melted in my mouth. The atmosphere was really cool too, with the iron age vibes adding to the whole dining experience. Highly recommend!

First time Korean BBQ and it was pretty good. All you can eat lunch special. Everything was served just on time. I would definitely visit again.

This restaurant is exclusively for the second version. I don't come here often because I respect myself. But when I do? Oh, it's a whole event. The smoked wings are everything, the ribs hold up every single time, the smoked chicken is to die for, and that potato salad has absolutely no business being that good. Bonus: one order feeds me for like three days. Three. Days. The portion sizes alone deserve a five-star review. This is my naughty place and I am at peace with that.

The wings were seasoned just right and honestly didn't need sauce. If you want one though, go with the cilantro ranch. The BBQ sauce wasn't sweet or smoky, I'm still trying to figure out what the flavor was. Also, I got 9 drums and 3 flats, which was a little off, I'd prefer a 6/6 split. Online you cannot do all flats or all drums The spicy greens are meat-free and I even called both to make sure. had good flavor, but they were more sweet and spicy to me not just spicy. Service / Timing: The cashier wasn't very welcoming. No hello, no thank you, nothing. That definitely stood out for these prices. Value: Pretty pricey for what I got. My total was $27.55 for 12 wings and greens. HIGH Highlight: WINGS. Wrap-Up: Despite the service and the price, the food was good. I will be back for the wings!

The brisket was pretty good. Not the best I ever had. However, it had great texture and was thick cut. Dipped in their bbq sauce- it was even better. The grilled wings were great. Fat juicy drums! *I gave my aunt the flats, and she enjoyed them too. The brussels and esquites were great. Im not a big parmesan guy, but on the brussels it surprised me. The cornbread had a great texture as it was moist and held up nice; it wasn't dry and crumbly. I prefer my cornbread sweet though. Id pass on it next time. Upon request, the pickles were great, but the pickled onions not so much. They were more bitter and "onion'y" if you know what I mean (it tastes like they used white onions, the ones that go on hotdogs). Im used to them being a little sweet when I get them from bbq places and even Mediterranean spots. And lastly, I didn't like the blue cheese too much it was more bitter (im used to sweeter blue cheese similar to Ken's). Another thing I'd pass on in the future. Overall, the main courses and sides were good. I recommend and would go back again to get the same things and even try the white meat chicken.

I liked the modern industrial interior (exposed ceilings, cement floor), complete with bespoke woodpiles. Super cheerful service. BIG portions (with an extra side, each entree is a meal for two), everything hand-made, many nods to modern American cuisine such as the care they spend on sides and the well-crafted cocktails. Amazing how many things you can smoke. Now, drinks and food. Nothing liked a smoking whiskey cocktail, people sitting next to you will stare in envy (as well they should). Wife's grilled pineapple mojito was topped with such a large mint sprig, it was positively horticultural. Along with the complementary cornbread, a great start. My barbecue expert's half rack of St. Louis-style ribs was trimmed and plenty moist, with six BBQ sauces to choose from. Lots of pickle slices (cucumbers in any form are perfect with seasoned meat). I had the "signature dish:" plank-smoked salmon, wild rice & roasted Brussels sprouts, a superb adaptation of the art of barbecue to a healthy piece of fish. Interesting chat with Chef Darneille about the challenges of the restaurant scene. Appreciated his honesty, he appreciated our business. This spot isn't just about the meat (though, let's be honest, you could stop there and leave happy). It's like a one-stop shop for food lovers, whether you're dining in or taking a piece of the experience home.
