The first floor has mounds of gorgeous old furniture, small knick knacks and various different things. What really attracts me is the clothes they have on the second floor. They have wonderful couches placed all around the place as well as large mirrors so it makes for a very comfortable place to be. The clothes is very organised and even colour coded so you don't feel overwhelmed at all. The volunteers who work there are super nice, helpful and will be your personal shopper if needed. The first time I walked in there, I walked out with a gorgeous pair of retro heels (45kr), and amazing brown satchel bag (50kr), cute boyfriend shorts (40kr), a tie shirt (55kr) and a nice blue button up shirt (60kr) for a total of 250kr and Im dying to get back to that place. They of course also have their share of shoes, hats, scarves and jewellery but if that's what you're looking for then you might be disappointed with their selection as it definitely isn't as big as their selection of clothing.

You are dreaming of owning one of those old fashioned vases that used to adorn your grandmother's living room? You'd probably find it here. Also looking for Christmas album CD anno 1995 featuring WHAM and the likes? You'd also probably find it here. The big hit for me is on the second floor. Up the stairs and to the left they have very comfy designed library-lookalike with rows and rows books for sale with price tags showing fractions of what the original prices were. Books sold here are extremely in good condition, unlike in several "Antikvariet" I have been to, but there are obviously newer books too. To put it shortly, if you're about to give someone a book as a present from here, they wouldn't know if it's second hand and it's good for the whole saving environment stuff isn't it? Less trees to fell for your books. Next to the book room, there's the children articles occupying the space. Clothing, toys, you name it. On the right side of the upper room there is the second hand clothing area. They all look in very good condition, I guess The Red Cross is very good at vetting these clothing. I did a browse to see if there's anything I like. Alas, I'm quite picky when it comes to clothing. But hey, it's worth checking out, and when you need to give (Christmas) presents, this place is maybe worth to look at.

Sadly they did not have what I needed, but they did have a weird cool mix of other items available including Danish chocolate, sesame seed bars and other snacks, iphone speakers and cases, jewelry, kids toys, gift wrap and bags, etc. Nothing was too pricey, in fact it was pretty reasonable for this city (I'll call it the "Denmark Dollar General"). The staff was helpful in answering my questions, even though they did not have what I needed, and most spoke English reasonably well, so it is tourist friendly. Not bad overall to kill some time and look around while out and about.

The place is pretty small, so they have a pretty limited selection, but it is all top quality. No digging! They have mostly clothing, but also some shoes, bags and accessories as well. Good news for men! They have a good mens section as well with Trigger, Han Kopenhagen, raw denim jeans, etc. This place is a gem. Dont miss it.

We were ridiculously excited to shop at Tiger when we arrived in Copenhagen, and it did not disappoint. (I think Tiger was seriously the highlight of our time in Copenhagen.) Tiger is kind of a cross between a dollar store and IKEA. It is amazing. Prices are cheap, and the items aren't just cute, but functional too, as they have a variety of housewares. Due to luggage weight and size restrictions I couldn't buy a lot, but I did buy a few random bits and pieces. One of the items my sister and I bought were those pink luggage tags with the red heart (I'm sure everyone who's been in a Tiger store knows what I'm talking about). While waiting for our luggage at the airport we saw several suitcases sporting that tag, and figured that it must be a common item at some store. So when we saw them at Tiger, we each bought one, just for the sake of it. I wish there were a Tiger store in Vancouver!

Ok, maybe things are a few kroners cheaper, but if you're a smart shopper and get the sales at other places, this is pretty unnecessary. That said, I did enjoy the store. It ticks all my boxes for clean, bright, organized, and practical. The store has a "flow" which discourages you from shopping backwards. Most of the items sold are very mundane and practical things (detergent, toothpaste, etc), with a few random pieces of useless tat thrown in (mushroom-shaped loofah, euro print toilet paper). I think I will probably be back when I need items like travel-sized toiletries since there was a good selection and only 5 kr.
