One guest remarked: While many photographers taken dozens of shots (firing click after click), Ananda takes just a few - and nails it perfectly. When we first searched for wedding photographers, we'd exhausted Yelp queries. Many photographers were fully booked or didn't have our preferred style of photography, so we used an alternative site, where we'd found Ananda to stellar reviews across other websites. It turned out that Ananda didn't have a Yelp page since she moved to SF, so was a hidden gem for us. We loved her online portfolio of wedding photography - modern, elegant, simple, clean with stunning portraits that captured the moment. Only later did we learn that she was also a reporter with ABC10 in Sacramento. When needed, she is a powerhouse, able to organize our (disorganized!) relatives into key groupings for the portraits - and nailing the end result. Highlights: 1. Stunning results, even in suboptimal photography settings. Despite an indoor church wedding & cloudy SF day, we had radiant, brightly lit perfect groups of family & friend portraits, capturing pure joy (& no blinks!). Our own wedding portraits were taken on a very windy, cold day - yet we couldn't tell by looking at the final photos. Despite our indoor reception venue, Ananda & her husband captured the most memorable moments of our wedding & guests - often without us even noticing. 2. Request for same-weekend highlights. While we'd asked Ananda for 10-15 key family portraits for same-weekend turnaround, Ananda went above & beyond - even offering photos for our wedding evening slideshow (which we ultimately lacked time for). Ananda's same-weekend highlight photos were such a hit amongst our friends & family. 3. Responsiveness. Ananda was always responsive, from the first consultation call to day-of & post-wedding. We never lost confidence in her communications. 4. Additional help & support As we ran low on time prior to the wedding, Ananda & her husband were rocks in helping us take first look photos, while at times collecting our items & helping us get to our venue in time. They were simply a big help throughout. 5. High-tech & efficient. From contract signing to online, password-protected photo gallery with original, high & web-sharing resolution photo downloads, Ananda noticeably used the most high-tech tools throughout. I cannot stress this enough. Of all the vendors we worked with she completely understood the circumstance and how stressful this was for the family to pull this together and MADE IT HAPPEN. Our whole original plan that we worked on for months was almost completely out the window. Ananda rolled with the flow and was able to collaborate with us, my family, and the other vendors to pull off the experience. Originally we found Ananda after reaching out to a friend in the wedding business about photography services in our budget for the wedding. We were hooked up with a few options. I discussed what I was looking for with about five different photographers and decided upon Ananda for multiple reasons. I went through her portfolio and loved her natural style and attention to details that were important to each bride and groom. We went over budget and hours and were able to make a plan that worked for both of us. Over the months of planning Ananda had this questionnaire that helped her get to know us as a couple and what was important to capture for us. We had her personal cell for any last minute questions either of us had and she was always quick to respond. All of the photos came back AMAZING and quickly! It only took her a month, in the middle of wedding season, to get all the photos back to us! This whole experience was a 5/5. Photos were the most important part of the wedding for me, outside the ceremony, so we did not choose a cheap or ill recommended photographer. Pros: -She was on time, well dressed, and nice. -She was very open about the daily timelines, likely hood of certain photos, and how photos would turn out due to unexpected (yet very welcomed) rain. Her partner kept the guys going on their timeline, and overall, we were very happy with this. -She recommended a "photo song" so my husband and I could have a photo with every person at the wedding, which we were grateful for as we were not sure we would get them with everyone before this. -She ensured that the few specific poses I had wanted, she snapped. Cons: -just before she left, I asked how long photos would take. She informed me she would send me a few sneak peaks within a week or so, for Christmas cards, and photos would take 8-10 weeks to receive. -Sneak peaks never came, despite my having emailed (with no response) on 12.14.23 and again 12.23.23. -I emailed her on 2.1.24 and 2.27.24 and was informed both times they were finishing up October photos, and mine would be next. -I emailed again on 4.1.24 and 4.11.24, to which she did not reply until 4.15.24 to let me know I would have my gallery by the end of that week. -Photos did not take 8-10 weeks as she had told me, but instead took 27 weeks (just over 6 months) to arrive. -certain photos had been missed. IE: we kissed at the alter, and then again at the end of the aisle, and we have no photos of the kiss at the end of the aisle. -my husband had a rash the day of the wedding. We were told these would be edited to remove the red on his face, but this wasn't actually done. Overall, photos turned out lovely. However, with having paid just shy of $2,500, I do wish she had been truthful about her timeline for photos turn around. In the time we waited, I became pregnant, and made it through more than half my pregnancy, before I even saw the photos of the day I married my husband. To say I was disappointed in the timeline, and her lack of honesty about getting sneak peak photos to me prior to Christmas, and all photos on time in general, would be an understatement.

From the beginning, it was clear that they wanted to shoot something that really represented us, and not just a cookie cutter, sappy wedding video. Through their initial interviews and surveys of us, Jerry and Winnie found out that Eunice and I are very silly people that don't take things too seriously, especially weddings. From that, they developed a very charming narrative that, while full of levity and inside jokes, was one that I felt proud to share with all of my friends and family. I'm not a fan of being in the spotlight, but Jerry and Winnie made the filming process so easy and fun.
