When I first read the menu I wasn't sure if it was French or German, and quickly learned that the confusion stems from the fact that the chef lived in Alsace, France for 25 years (she speaks fluent French, and will probably come to your table to say hi) and that region is famous for its mix of German/French cultures. My friend and I shared the bolinho de queijo especial francês which was delicious and came with a spicy pepper jelly. We also shared the Filé Wellington, which is intended for two people but could probably serve three. The Wellington was perfectly cooked (Gordon Ramsey would be proud) to medium-rare. It had foie gras on the inside, which really added to the flavor. This dish comes with a salad, French fries, a zucchini thing (I'm sorry but I don't remember what it was called, but it was delicious!), and garlic rice. Normally I don't like rice but kept eating it this time... They also have an excellent selection of beer, including lots of Brazilian craft IPA. If you're a beer fan, you could easily stop in and just have a brew or two and relax.
