This is my favorite sit-down spot for pizza in Brazil (I say Brazil because they have locations…read morespread throughout major cities). As a local chain, there aren't an overwhelming number of outposts, and the pizza is good enough that I've seen lines at both this Rio and São Paulo location. The large restaurant can hold a number of people and it's nicer than a typical grab and go pizza place. You'll find locals making the queue to celebrate their birthdays and other special occasions. If there is a line and you don't feel like waiting, I recommend grabbing a table in the bar area and ordering your pizza to-go. While we waited, our trio enjoyed a few beers and by the time the pizza was ready, so was our table. We simply asked them to skip the to-go request and serve us at the table. The menu is chock full of different pizza options and you can't go wrong.

The service, the food, the location, the ambiance, the vibe, the atmosphere, the people there are first class. They seem to have a really good logistic and organization, because when I was there it was almost full. But the service manages everything and nobody waits too long. Good administration! I loved it. The pizzas are the highlight and the desserts are like heaven too! The restaurant per se is big, elegant, clean, simply and beautifully decorated and seem to be "in" in the moment. It is worth a visit/ or many visits.

This restaurant is located just around the corner from lots of noisy bars and restaurants. It…read moredoesn't look like much on the outside, but the inside is comfortable and has great views of Pedra da Gávea. The first floor is mainly for relaxing and watching soccer with a beer, there is an upstairs which has tables and is better if you're going in for a meal. When I first read the menu I wasn't sure if it was French or German, and quickly learned that the confusion stems from the fact that the chef lived in Alsace, France for 25 years (she speaks fluent French, and will probably come to your table to say hi) and that region is famous for its mix of German/French cultures. My friend and I shared the bolinho de queijo especial francês which was delicious and came with a spicy pepper jelly. We also shared the Filé Wellington, which is intended for two people but could probably serve three. The Wellington was perfectly cooked (Gordon Ramsey would be proud) to medium-rare. It had foie gras on the inside, which really added to the flavor. This dish comes with a salad, French fries, a zucchini thing (I'm sorry but I don't remember what it was called, but it was delicious!), and garlic rice. Normally I don't like rice but kept eating it this time... They also have an excellent selection of beer, including lots of Brazilian craft IPA. If you're a beer fan, you could easily stop in and just have a brew or two and relax. Overall I was very happy with the experience and will definitely go back to try some of the other menu items - the sausages sound really great, it's hard to find good German sausages around here.

I stopped be here tonight to grab dinner since I'm staying at the hotel right next door. I looked…read moreat their menu on their website first so I had an idea what I wanted. I walked to this place and there was a gentlemen at the tent waiting to greet people. Then a lady working the front desk open the door for me so I think she was the host. They let me choose where I wanted to sit so I chose the table next to the bar. The restaurant is very nicely decorated inside but kind of dim where the bar is. I got the 609 Medaglione with targone salsa, I asked for the targone salsa on the side and used a English to Translator app since the waiter couldn't understand me. He never asked how I wanted my steak cook so I was interested to see how it comes out. I also ordered a coke for my drink. The food did take a while to come out but it was worth it. The filet mignon was cooked to medium rare and I actually like the targone sauce. The bacon was in the sauce so be aware of that. The gratin potato I thought was decent, just needed salt and ketchup but my overall meal was delicious. The service here was fine for me and I'm pretty sure they knew I'm American. I paid with my credit card and there was no option to leave tip so maybe it's already included.
