Our website was built on a 10+ year old yahoo platform and was in great need of some refreshing and a new look. We did some research and found a few website designer(s) and companies that stated that they could help us with our yahoo web site "phantom dynamics" - Mike from ioVista contacted me and looked over our site and immediately explained the issues we had and what we should do to address these issues - One of the biggest issues we had was because our site was around for so long we had already established certain rankings in a few top search engines and if we messed with some of these parameters, we could mess up these rankings and that would not be good. They have nickel and dimed him throughout the entire process. After an initial quote of $20k he's had up-charges for even the most basic functions that were functional on his previous site. Every issue can be fixed, just give us more $money$... but it's never fixed. Now that he is $40k in the hole, the website continues to malfunction, doesn't work on the weekends (and neither does trademark!) and has lost him tens of thousands of dollars in sales, frustrated his customers and soiled his reputation. The trademark team continues to turnover employees and give empty canned answers. The most recent answer was to provide a form for his costumers to list all of the issues they're having! If you are a small business owner you work hard, around the clock, to build your business. These people DO NOT care. My husband has endured so much painstaking stress, lack of sleep and loss of business as they rake his finances and reputation through the coals. They are not capable of building a commerce website. They will lie to get your business but in reality they do not guarantee that anything will work... and it won't! If it crashes on a weekend (and it will, frequently!)- you are out of luck.
