I went to a 5:30 barre class and during the warmup began feeling very lightheaded. I hadn't eaten enough, and I just realized it. I sat down a couple time during the class (which felt especially awkward since there were only 3 people in class) because I feared I'd pass out. This happens a lot to me, but it's not fun. I felt the color flush from my cheeks. The instructor checked on me quietly to make sure I was fine, and had the front desk attendant follow up. I was eating nuts in the lounge area and the front desk girl offered me an ice pack and protein bar. I took the bar and ate it but still wasn't feeling well. She checked on me again and offered to give me a free class pass so I could come back and actually enjoy the workout. She cleaned up my mat and equipment for me and told me to feel better. As someone who's fainted at concerts, doctor's offices, fast food restaurants, and everywhere else, I know how embarrassing it can be. These ladies made me feel so comforted!!! They kept class going so I didn't feel like a distraction, made sure I was okay and ensured I'd be back to appreciate the class another day. Love this community of kind hearted women!

I love the colors and the wood floors - it feels very tropical and beachy, which is totally my style for a relaxing yoga session! I've had some instructors that I loved more than others, but overall the classes are a combination of relaxing and challenging, and I leave feeling refreshed. I went on a retreat 2 summers ago with the yoga studio and it was a beautiful, amazing week full of yummy food and lots of restorative yoga. I didn't want to go back to real life after that! The original owner just sold the studio, so it will be interesting to see if that changes anything. If you have never done yin yoga, you are in for a treat! A slower stretch that really causes us to slow way down and stretch our tired muscles. The space is nice and comfortable and there are mats available if you didn't bring one. You can reserve and pay online or walk in and there is plenty of easy parking.
