I was referred to Troy at Intravolt by my contractor who, after doing what I consider a 'decent' job on other parts of my condo, decided he was not going to provide me with any electrical work so I was left with shoddy wiring, switches that were connected to other rooms, lighting fixtures from the 70s, and ceiling fans that were both loud and shaking violently. Troy was able to come in and immediately diagnose all the issues, install all the lighting fixtures, and replace both ceiling fans and add new switches so that I was able to control the lights and fan separately without needing to pull the chains. And after he priced everything out he beat my contractor's estimate by so much I had him install recessed lighting in my kitchen and living room and I STILL came out ahead. Troy is awesome. We called one weekend off hours with a faulty breaker issue that needed immediate repair. Troy spent a half hour on the phone with us trying to troubleshoot the issue free of charge. Once we determined that replacement was necessary, Troy was able to source the obscure part that was needed and then opted to make the hour+ drive out to our place in Marvista so our power (and hot water) could be back on before it got dark. Tro was very friendly when I first contacted him regarding my chandellier and island light installation (both pics are up on his profile). The Island light installation went well and the price was fair. He also gave me a quote for the chandelier after inspecting my home and my attic and I agreed. He brought over 3 guys and worked on the chandelier for 3 days and did an amazing job installing it. During these 3 days he did not mention once that the price would be higher. He waited till the end to tell me and I was very understanding. I even gave them a $250 tip. But as a business owner, thats not the right practice. You dont wait till the job is done and change the prices regardless of how much longer it took to complete. In addition to that, the lights started flickering from the chandelier last week and I reached out to see if he can come by and check it out, but no response. I shouldnt have tipped, nor should have I agreed to the new amount. I even asked him to give me the receipt of the bulbs that he bought and he says 'call me'. How can I call you for warranty issues if you dont even answer anymore?I dont appreciate his work ethic at all. Sometimes, if you are nice, you get walked over. read more
