I had a regular latte and a smartie cookie when I tried it. Yet due to its size I believe that it can suffer due to the small amount of tables it can be hard to find a seat yet it is good for takeaway items

With the eccentric charm of Marwoods and the rustic, homely feel of Bill's, you'll find it hard not to love this little place. The interior is shabby and mismatched with lots of lovely little ornaments, posters and random objects dotted around. The owner, Neil (check me out, on first name terms!) is warm and friendly and will go out of his way to make you smile. Once when ordering, I mentioned how tempting the cakes all looked. When my coffee was brought out, with it came a gorgeous slab of Victoria sponge, which he insisted that I could have for free, seeing as it was the end of the day! This is one of my favourite places to sip away on an ice coffee and people watch. I have also tried a cappuccino which was lovely along with a white chocolate and macadamia cookie yum yum! There is both indoor and outsoor seating and free wifi, which I have taken full advantage of(hence the review!) There's a large board with lots of tempting food options, which I will be no doubt be back to try! Oh and did I mention you can also buy your farm eggs here, along with hand made intricately detailed cushions!

Party of 6. Absolute f**king disaster! We had a reservation. Four in our party are Shoreham…read moreresidents and local shop owners. The staff all know them. But that did not prevent a terrible episode of poor service and a near maiming of one of us. Long story short. We ordered our dinner at 8:10pm. Plates finally made it to our table at 9:40pm. No apologies, no explanation. Just curt excuses made by the rather presumptuous French waitress who was also the manager on duty. The maiming: My friend across from me bites down on what should be a portion of fresh fish. She crunches down, winces in pain and spits out a large shard of thick, sharp plastic. Upon inspection it is the rim of a large bottle top. Her mouth is lacerated and she is bleeding. We call the manager over. She exclaims some concern and the litany of excuses starts once again. A incident form is brought over for the victim the complete, a perfect demonstration of typical English bureaucracy. I suspect the form is deposited in the trash bin as soon as we leave. Damage report: One meal deducted from the bill. Two half filled glasses of wine poured for free to assuage the pain. Yelp review: One star. One warning to you. Value your time and health? Stay away.

I think Brighton could do with a few more places like this so have no problem at all driving the 15 minutes along the seafront to eat here. The interior is light and airy without seeming at all cold. At night, the lighting is really subtle and relaxing. The staff are really down to earth and do an excellent job making you feel welcome. The food is so well cooked and presented here. There's all the classics like seared scallops and lamb shanks but if I was going to recommend anything it would be their signature dish of beef wellington. You have to order in advance (24hrs) but they use only the finest fillet of beef. It really is worth trying. For wine, the Italian Merlot is the house plonk and at £12 is reasonable but if you go for the Wellington, I'd try the Drylands Pinot Noir. Enjoy!
