The selection on my visit included brown rice with mixed vegetables, mattar paneer (peas, tomatoes, and cheese cubes), vadai (lentil fritters with yogurt sauce), roasted potatoes, roasted cucumber with cheese, and a three-cheese lasagna with tomato sauce. All of the items were prepared simply using almost no spices--some of the dishes had the appearance and inspiration of Indian food but certainly lacked the soul. While the flavors could have been better, this still made for a healthy vegetarian lunch that came at an affordable price, and the meal was capped off with a dessert of bananas baked with brown sugar.

They have many vegan options (not all marked as such, so ask to double check your options). I like their coffee as well. I had to stop here twice during my very short stay in São Paulo.

Excellent mate and coffee drinks, acai drinks and bowls, and a variety of traditional Brazilian snacks and desserts. The acai here was the best I had during my time in Brazil-not overly sweet, and perfect creamy texture. While I liked some of the fried snacks more than others, everything was tasty, filling, and very affordable. I also recommend the vegan truffles and cakes-excellent! All credit cards accepted. Friendly staff, and nice outdoor seating. Highly recommended!

Everything was clean and it was really empty when I went but I imagine it fills up with people during certain peak hours. The shimeji mushrooms were really good and the chick peas were seasoned really well. It would be nice if there were little labels on the foods that have gluten. I avoided anything that looked breaded or fried and didn't get sick, but it would be easier if the foods were better labeled. Comida vegana simples e gostosa!

Amazing guy, super friendly and such warm personality. 10/10 I order the following dishes 1. Biryani It was amazing. I was expecting a fusion of some sort which is what you get at most Indian places abroad(except Bay Area). But boy did they amaze me with a super authentic chicken biryani. The reason behind the authenticity was that they source the masalas from back home. I could taste the garam masala and fried jeera masala. Portion was good enough for two people(I had to box half). 10/10 2. Rayta: I normally don't like Rayta but this was from the good lot. Hope to come back here again!!

Buy a pita pocket, it gets filled up with warm falafel, and then you make your way down the line and top it with as much veggies and sauces as you can physically cram into that warm carb blanket. I bought the combo, which comes with a large falafel pita pocket, side of fries, and a drink-all for $27R. It ended up being so much food I couldn't finish it! If you want the combo, go for the junior size, which is 3 falafels, instead of 5. Or, just skip the fries since the pita is filling enough as is. You can also try it as a salad, which looked like a lot of food! The toppings bar has everything you would want with your falafel. From savory, to pickled, to spicy, to creamy toppings, they have it all. Try all the sauces as well! Just get it all! I tried the watermelon juice and it was refreshing and delicious. We never get enough fresh squeezed juice in the USA. It's not even an option. Maoz is located in a very crowded neighborhood brimming with shops and restaurants.
