Ok, so this is an accurate review regarding the call system and trying to get in touch with the IRS. If you want to skip the whole robo B.S. to avoid speaking with a boT and finding info about your taxes is 1 for English , 5 , 3 , 1. Also employee 1004287477 is using a terrible incomprehensible headset that makes it sound like she is talking through a toilet paper roll. She also sent me to the wrong place ! It is impossible to get ahold of anybody at the irs. I have now been waiting 2 years for my 2019 tax return. I have not been able to get any economic stimulus because they have not processed my 2019 tax return. They have received my return and say that is in process. However they claim that there is nobody available to answer any phones. I am a government contractor and have been required to be at my office since September of 2020. Ooooooh my gosh, Mr. "R. Hardial" aka the security guard is the WORST thing to possibly exist. I have been desperately trying to schedule an appointment with the IRS due to their AWFUL online services that DO NOT work, NOR the automated phone system, so as a last resort went in person to schedule one. Because what else am I supposed to do? I show up and this man blocks the entrance pointing to the EXACT number that has been hanging up everytime I call. I tell him the issue and he dismisses me LAUGHING saying I can't come in without an appointment. I point out the dilemma with that and he just keeps repeating himself even when I ask for help or a different alternative. I tell him he's not being helpful and he tells me he doesn't care because he doesn't work for the IRS. Really? You obviously do if you are at the...I don't know, IRS??? Wtf! ZEROO stars. Received threatening letters from IRS. Website won't allow me to do ANYTHING, but gives a number to call. I have spent 4 hours a day on hold waiting for an answer for almost two weeks, and the other 4 hours a day on hold to this office trying to get an appointment. Looks like I will be forced to pay a tax lawyer to even speak to them. How the hell is anyone supposed to work with them when they won't pick up the phone, and showing up in person you get told to go away without an appointment? read more

Worst IRS Ive ever been to, the security guard is rude and condescending. He instantly looked down on me and said "I dont know why you are so confused" and proceeded to point me in the other direction. Ontop of this he started talking poorly about me once he closed the door as if I couldnt hear him. I really did not appreciate this experience. read more

I got a notice I was being audited. All I want to do is verify that this is real and not a scam. Good luck at finding any way to verify the agent information. I have called a dozen numbers and listened to long list of what numbers to punch but nothing that helps me verify an employee. With the amount of scams going on these days I should be able to find a web site or phone number where I can put an IRS employee ID number in and have it say this person is really and IRS agent or no this is a scam. read more

I don't hate the IRS. Just this office. Paying taxes isn't the issue - that's the small price we pay as Americans. My issue is with the Orlando area office of the Internal Revenue Service, and their absolutely dismal customer service. All I needed to do was make a payment. I had my check and paperwork in hand. It is a transaction that most likely wouldn't have taken more than 5 solid minutes, not counting possible wait time. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a cordial security guard in the building's lobby, who informed me that the IRS wouldn't even see me today, because they are turning away any new appointments. She gave me some excuse about the people vs fire code maximum capacity rules, which didn't make sense (as soon as one customer leaves, they have room for one more person, right?). After talking with her for several minutes, she made it clear that there was no way I was getting upstairs. Fine. Plan B. I call the office directly and explain what's going on to a live person. Surely a human with common sense would see that I was a quick in-and-out case, and would give me clearance to come upstairs. Nope. The number on the IRS website takes you to a message that offers no chance to speak to a live human or to leave a message. Just a message telling you that they don't offer live phone support service, and a hang up. I was so confused... if I couldn't get upstairs without an appointment, how could I make one? If I couldn't make an appointment, what could I do? Why does the paperwork that the IRS sent, along with the IRS website, tell me that I can pay in person when they offer no way of letting me do it? All I want to do is pay my bill... can't someone take my money? I went back inside to ask the security guard for advice on the best way to proceed. She told me to come back at 6 AM AND WAIT to make sure that I could get inside. She also told me that depending on the number of people that were also waiting, I may not be guaranteed to get inside. I wanted to get snippy, but this poor woman had heard it all before, multiple times a day, from probably dozens of people every single day. In addition to intentionally making it impossible for taxpayers to get help, the IRS's Orlando office had reduced this security guard's job to that of a punching bag for upset taxpayers. The Orlando area office of the Internal Revenue Service is a poster child of everything that is wrong with the American government. It's a collection of lazy, apathetic leeches who are employed by a branch of a bureaucratic clusterfuck of an organizaiton, that has absolutely interest in helping the taxpayers they're supposed to serve. Save yourself time and headaches by just paying online at www.irs.gov/e-pay. Sure, the Internet has security issues, and I'm sure the web branch of the IRS has just as much red tape as any other, but the chances of you getting your business handled by figuring it out yourself are much higher than taking a stab at trying to meet with a local representative in the IRS's Orlando office. read more

I was expecting to wait hours and I only had to wait about 20 minutes for my documents. I am impressed with the organization and pleasant the security guards and receptionists were. One would think they would have been rude or anal. Better signage is needed on the second floor so that one knows on which side of the IRS they need to be. read more

Just to talk to someone the waiting time is 3 hours!! Not enough employees, the sure give more hire opportunities!!
