I had Hunter Douglas shades with internal cords that were broken. Although I did not purchase from Interior & Textiles, they were able to help get the shades repaired. Their customer service (in particular Sara) is amazing. If I ever have a need for new shades, I will be bringing my business here for sure. read more

Robert was incredible with his ideas and recommendations. He really is a talented designer. I have nothing but great things to say about Interiors & Textiles and all of my interactions with Fred (the owner) and the installers. We'd been wanting to replace our carpet with hardwood floors for years and hesitated due to the time investment and hassle of not being able to move out our belongings beforehand. I had settled on an engineered hardwood floor (Kahrs) before talking to Fred, and within a few weeks, we were able to finalize the flooring style, schedule the work, and get everything fully installed. The work itself was done in almost exactly one work week where they arrived on a Monday morning and finished up the last transitions on Friday afternoon. The installers were very professional and accommodating when it came to doing the minimal amount of moving of furniture and possessions to keep the job moving. I'd use them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone needing similar work done. read more

I made major purchases from this company twice, the first in their old location many years ago (and it was worthy of 5 stars) and the 2nd was just last year, a whole house engineered/hardwood floor install. The more recent purchase was disappointing because the salesperson and installer both failed to follow through on details. I needed a specific floor height to match my existing fireplace hearth, and I fully explained & measured this with Shari and Fred. But they failed to make it happen. The installers adjusted on the fly for the hearth, but they failed to tell me that I would not be able to install the custom floor registers that I had asked for at the very beginning of the project. If I had known this would be the outcome, I would have stopped the installers from using the incorrect subfloor. Now, I have metal floor registers that don't match the floor and don't fit the openings. It's a small but significant thing that destroys a beautiful looking (& expensive) floor. Ignore the reviews from several years ago. This shop is now run by Fred Wee. The worst reviews you see in this list do not apply to him but the previous owner. In short, Fred is fantastic. I first contacted him two years ago when I was interested in installing a cork floor in my condo. Although I ended up not buying anything then (other renovations had higher priority), I was so impressed with Fred's service that I went back to him this year for a hardwood floor and carpet. Fred makes it all very easy. He gives great advice, is honest, always on time. His workers are fantastic too. They installed both carpet and oak floor in my house this week and it was delivered on time and in perfect order. In short, cannot recommend him enough. read more

Our new place in Palo Alto needed blinds on two sets of doors and a large window. We wanted something to provide privacy and look modern and elegant. After stopping in at the showroom in Mountain View we met Fred Wee and he helped us decide on an idea. He came by our home within a few days with samples and gave us good advice on the right material for us. He did all of the measurements and sent us a quote within a day. The blinds arrived when he said they would and although it was his busy time of year, he had the installers here and the work completed long before the holiday. Bill and Moses did a great job on the installation, which included removing our existing curtains and hardware and patching up the holes from them. My only experience was with the showroom, but I didn't feel comfortable there. I simply wanted to browse the carpets, but the saleswoman was very hostile. When she asked what type of carpet, I said "nylon". They she asked, defensively, "why not wool? why are you chosing nylon over wool?" Because I want nylon. Then she made a bee line to one particular carpet and said how does this feel? (felt like carpet) and would you like to take home this sample? Woah, hold on a second, I just got in the store and haven't looked at the thousand samples and already she was pushing this particular bland sample on me. They I asked if I could take home a range of colors -- another store I went to gave me a palette of literally hundreds of color samples. She said, no I can't do that, this is probably not the store you want. Well, it wasn't. read more

We visited Interiors & Textiles with some trepidation, given the lousy reviews here... but the location is convenient and they are a Hunter Douglas (blinds) Gallery showroom, so we decided to drop by. The salesperson Shari was extremely helpful and friendly (even helping entertain our 2 little kids as we browsed the blind possibilities). We ended up ordering 4 blinds; the ordering, payment, delivery, and installation process were all flawless. Blinds look beautiful, and arrived a few days before expected. read more

Like others have mentioned here, I wish there were a "negative" star rating. I visited this showroom this afternoon. The showroom was completely empty and I browsed the wood flooring. Apparently, the salesperson was in a back office and didn't appear for 7 or 8 minutes. Terri, the saleswoman, approached me without introducing herself. I explained what I was looking for but when she asked me if I had my own contractor her frosty demeanor turned even more negative and hostile. She accused me of being "one of those customers" that avail themselves of her "expertise" and her "very expensive displays" and then employ their own contractor. I was shocked with her abusive treatment and quickly left the facility. I would recommend that this showroom/establishment be avoided at all costs. She accused said customers of "putting food on the table" of independent contractors not in her employ. I would heartily suggest that anyone with their own money avoid putting any "food" on her very hostile, arrogant and negative "table". 2 enthusiastic thumbs-down to Terri and Interiors and Textiles! read more

Great experience, especially working with Shari, and fine quality products. I got wooden kitchen blinds that are clearly superior quality than what I had seen in home improvement stores; and Living Room drapes which were a beautiful fabric, with double rod and inner sheers. Shari helped immensely, coming to my home and helping decide on color and style and going thru many many swatches to find the right fabric within my budget. Mark, installer, was great -- precise and asked many questions to insure things were placed to my preference. It did take a little while for everything to come in but well worth the wait. I just finished a small house redecorating project and went to Interiors and Textiles because they had some recent good reviews and I was impressed that an Interior Designer gave them four stars. I was dreading having to make these decorating decisions on my own, but the project was small enough that it wasn't worth hiring my own designer. I noticed I&T had designers on staff, which seems to be rare. I was helped by Robert. He has an incredible eye for color and style and helped me select two gorgeous rugs, some upholstery and some fabric for a bedspread. We totally captured the effect I was looking for! My previous decorating experiences have been time-sinks of running around between fabric stores and rug stores, etc, with me deliberating endlessly and in the end not achieving the effect I envisioned. This was the opposite. One visit and we nailed it! The whole thing went so smoothly. I was pleased with the whole engagement. The prices were very reasonable for the quality products I purchased, not to mention the fact that I received free professional advice. By the way, the showroom is amazing. When you go in leave yourself enough time to flip through the incredible number of beautiful fabric and carpet samples just for fun. I could have spent a week in there. read more

I recently had new carpeting installed in my bedrooms and stairway and it came out perfect. I initially met with Fred and Shari in the showroom and they were incredibly helpful. When they did not have the sample color I wanted, it was brought to my home within days. They were quick to give me the best possible price by checking with the manufacturer to see if they could extend the sale which was already over. They made my life so much easier by managing the moving company themselves during the installation. I am very happy with the carpet and service and would absolutely use them again. read more

The very best service one could expect. I have conducted business with them for probably 20 plus years and when the string broke on a 7 year old blind I took it to them for repair. I expected to pay, but they informed me the repairs for purchases made @ their store were free I felt compelled to share this example of a small privately owned business far surpassing customer expectations. Sure you might save a little in the big box stores, or on the net but try getting great customer service. read more

We also had a very bad experience with this company. We ordered plantation shutters and they sent one guy who measured everything including our half moon bedroom window. When they arrived my husband was here for installation and the half moon window piece did not fit. Instead of asking us or taking it back, they cut into our wall to "make" it fit. Now we cannot move the slats on the window at all. Robbyn repeated told me that they would not charge me for it as I was very unhappy with the work they did and the mess in my wall. I didn't trust them to remeasure a replacement. Their installer contractor (who's guys messed up the installation) practically called me a name and acted like I was trying to rip them off when I tried repeatedly to get them to fix things. I had to tell Robbyn that I did not want that guy in my house ever again. IN the end they charged us for it after all and I gave up but would NEVER set foot in their shop again. To this day the half moon window is not right and they really don't care about making it right. Don't walk, run away from these guys. I had several other projects I would have hired them for if this one had gone right. read more

We just went through a major remodel/addition, and our tile company recommended Interiors & Textiles as having the kitchen and hardwood flooring we wanted. The attractive showroom was a bit hard to find which indicated working mainly with the trade, but we went in with no appointment and Fred Wee provided information and samples of both products to take home. After a number of visits and conversations where he answered or got the answers to our questions, Fred remained earnest after our business while also being really pleasant, professional and not at all hard sell. He even matched the bid from another vendor on the materials where he could. We purchased those floorings through Fred, and although our contractor installed the product, Fred was very responsive to all our concerns and need for extra material and special pieces even during installation. Several months later we turned to Fred for help selecting window coverings. He and the other interior designers made us feel comfortable, explaining all the options, colors and functions (probably numerous times!). Fred even stopped by for a double check on his numbers for 2 of the blinds, so everything fit perfectly when the installer arrived as scheduled and did his job very professionally.
