Intake process and rates were great when I first was introduced to them but you…read moreare pretty much dead to them after they sell your mortgage and mortgages will be sold wherever you book them so keep that in mind. My mortgage was sold and I got one notice saying they will collect payment until X date and after that to pay directly to new servicer. Ok no problem. I paid on X date with a receipt emailed with X date on it. 20 days later I notice no funds have been pulled yet so I call them to see what's going on. First person says don't know and can't see transaction in system so call your new servicer. What? Call another company to see if my payment is processing in your system? We go in circles so I ask to talk to someone else. That person tells me I hear you have questions about your payment being rejected. Again, what? First time hearing this and the conversation becomes my fault for not reading their minds that 1) they rejected my payment (no notices whatsoever) or 2) that collection date means processing date not submission of the transaction or 3) there's nothing they can do about it so refer to first guidance of call your new servicer. Also "sorry if there was no communication"... there was no IF because there was no communication. I had my mortgage sold twice before I came to them and neither instances were this frustrating. Also, shouldn't a business dealing with people who have to pay thousands of dollars with possible impact of penalties and credit hits have clear communication? Damage to credits is really easy to create but hard to fix. I don't think I'm asking for anything crazy here beyond a clear process but got some deflection and denials. Beware because this level of irresponsibility and lack of accountability is really not worth it.
