They claim this device monitors your driving behavior and calculate a personalized insurance rate for you. When my daughter's insurance rate was doubled after a month of using Snapshot, I called to find out the reason. I was told "there were too many hard stops recorded - that means she is often drives too close to the car in front of her". Their interpretation is absolutely ridiculous. She has a habit of stopping hard whether for stop signs, traffic lights or anything else for that matter. They use their ridiculous interpretation to raise your rates. Do not accept their offer to use the Snapshot - it is a trap.

The quote was with Progressive and was more expensive with lower coverage limits, higher deductible and less coverage than GEICO. Recommendations to Savvy Insurance: 1) ask more questions and don't make assumptions about coverage before comparing and providing results and 2) if user currently has the best deal, then let them know and don't present bogus quotes that will hurt your users. For users of Savvy Insurance, don't assume that service has your best interest in mind. Carefully review all quotes provided and validate that they match your current coverage and limits
