This is an interesting review to write, because it isn't a reflection of the actual company (State…read moreFarm) or of an industry (insurance). It's about the people whom my family have counted on for over 20 years to provide us with insurance -- automobile and home. For the entirety of our marriage, my husband and I have only been insured by State Farm and while times have changed and obtaining insurance, especially in California, is no longer simple, for us, the one thing that has remained constant is the trust and comfort we have in dealing with Dave Scott's agency. And that is because of the relationship that we have developed-- over decades--with Sarah and John. And the fact that they have been with this agency for that long says something about Dave Scott. In an A.I. bot driven world, human interaction is more important than ever. There is a level of comfort and trust (those words again) that only comes from repeated interactions with people. We have insured two homes and countless vehicles with State Farm through Dave Scott's office. And while we have had almost no claims, having Sarah and John advise us when we did and having them help us with coverage decisions has made what can be a stressful process less so. We also met with Dave and his knowledge and guidance was crucial to the process. But it is Sarah and John who do the heavy lifting -- so the five stars are for them.

I would strongly caution anyone from working with this agency…read more After receiving a refund check from my home insurance provider, I reached out directly to this agency to confirm what it was for. I was told in writing by them that the check was a valid refund and I was free to use the funds. Based on that guidance, I cashed the check. Over a month later, I was informed by the insurance company that the refund was issued in error and they were demanding full repayment--threatening legal action. I immediately reached out to the agency again and forwarded the written communication that clearly showed I relied on their professional advice. They never followed up, never offered support, and completely ignored the issue. Because of their lack of accountability, I'm now being forced to repay thousands of dollars for something I never would've used had I not been misled by their own staff. This agency failed to protect their client, failed to communicate, and failed to take responsibility. I've lost all trust in them and will be moving my business elsewhere. Avoid if you value honesty and follow-through.
