Because of my credit history, the bank would not let me have a loan. Urloan approved me the next day and I paid off my old debts. Then, the day the first payment was due, I was laid off from my job. Urloan gave me time, until I found another job, to make my payments. When my loan was under half the amount borrowed, they gave me another loan that I needed. Yes, the interest is high, but when you have past history of bad debt, as I had, this is a great opportunity to re-establish your credit. My agent, Michael, has gone above and beyond the call and was always available to answer my questions!

I was looking for an insurance broker for content insurance, and had heard from a friend he used…read moreIntact Insurance, so I contacted Callow to get started. Strangely enough, he tried to dissuade me from using them because they hinted they only used a couple insurance companies and they weren't the lowest price. I said it was ok. I told him that my fiance and I had recently moved into an apartment together, and we needed to get content insurance. When he asked for my fiance's name, I stumbled, and he commented I must not have known my fiance for very long. I laughed it off, and said I've just had a long day. He then proceeded to tell me that I sounded very young, again insinuating I didn't need insurance. To be honest, I don't really see how this has anything to do with content insurance or why this would be a factor in determining a price point. I absolutely do not think it's any of his business how long I've known my fiance for, or how old I am. That being said, I didn't go with them for insurance, and I don't think I could ever recommend them to anyone I know.

For our work, Mark has never provided anything less than exceptional service...over the years I have had him write several policies and he always explains them in great detail and turns around the applications very quickly. My partner and I have recently started a company and he spent about an hour with me going over our insurance options. To me, Mark Callow is a very kind, approachable person and I appreciate that he doesn't make starting out in this crazy industry feel like some kind of handicap. As a young creative professional, the business end of the business (insurance, accounting, legal) can be very intimidating, but I never feel anxious about calling on Mark to help out.

The lady mentioned that with the new ICBC pricing the coverage amount only applies to damages to building, property or road. It doesn't cover other people suing me etc. But again she said if something happens I am not allow to sue and if there is another person involved than the other party is also not allowed to sue. So ICBC eliminated going to court to save cost. So I saw a $900 difference in my insurance cost compared to last year. Well I am a very safe driver, so I am good. Anyways, I got my insurance here and stuck the decal onto my car right away. The service was fast. I came around 5:30 pm and out in 10 mins. They close at 8 pm on weekdays and they are open everyday. I believe weekend they close at 6pm.
