0 Stars but you can't post without giving them 1. Stay clear of this home inspection company, especially if recommended by the seller's realtor! This company caught several issues, but missed so many expensive issues during our inspection. They get paid and we get stuck with the repair bills, since by the time you find out, it's too late to ask the seller to make things right. The wine refrigerator that had power but not chilling (they didn't test), washer that had a broken hot water valve (they only tested cold), doorbell not working (they acknowledged they didn't test), which turned out to be an outdoor transformer, wiring not up to code on TVs (they claim this is "cosmetic": poking holes and running extension cords through the wall is not a "cosmetic" problem), outdoor fireplace not working (not tested). I found the cooktop ignitor that they missed and had them revise the list and I'm not an inspector. Long list of easy misses and a long list of excuses.
When brought to their attention, they deflected and other than the admission of things they didn't test, they have a long list of what they routinely don't test and took no responsibility for their misses. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, was mediated by the bank and found in our favor, and Inspectors, Inc added insult to injury by filing a legal claim to be paid for their incompetent inspection anyway. Even our realtor was embarrassed by their shotty work and wrote to them let them know she would not longer refer clients to them, they still wouldn't drop the suit.
These are just the facts, I'm too polite to share my opinions! read more
