I used Harel Schwarz to inspect 2 different properties for me, one of which i purchased and one I didn't. Harel is a friendly person but I definitely would not hire him to inspect for me again. He likes to use a lot of gadgets that may seem impressive but he missed a number of serious issues during his inspection that cost me a lot of money to fix and were actually health and safety issues (plumbing related). I gave him several opportunities to provide his perspective on what happened but he didn't even give me the courtesy of a response which speaks volumes. When I look back at the inspection report I'm struck by how little actual substantive information was provided. I believe he's a structural engineer by trade and perhaps he's competent in that area. But he definitely doesn't have enough knowledge or experience with basic plumbing and electrical to do a good job as a general home inspector. read more

When I initially hired Harel Schwarz of Inspectioneering, I didn't know I was hiring the "James Bond" of home inspectors. He arrived in a cool "work vehicle" late model BMW 5 series, and promptly proceeded to pull out a myriad of high tech gear from the trunk. I had suspected through our phone interactions that he would be professional and knowledgeable, but was pleasantly surprised by just how prepared he was. Throughout the inspection he utilized high tech tools for everything - Self leveling laser to identify structural issues, Forward Looking Infrared device (FLIR), to identify any issues hidden behind Sheetrock, water pressure gauges, electronic carbon dioxide/gas detectors ...you name it. "Q" had prepared him well for the inspection! Harel took his time, and inspected the entire house from walking the roof to trekking deep within the attic. This inspector is not afraid to get his clothes dirty! His customer service skills are excellent. He readily answered any question I had during the inspection in a fun and informative manner. I received an inspection report and recommended actions within hours of him completing the inspection. I was so impressed, I sent the report to my brother who was a Navy Nuclear Engineer, and for the last 20 years, has been a loss control inspector for the largest commercial insurer in North America. My brother inspects multi-million dollar commercial properties on a weekly basis, and is certified in level III FLIR thermography - he said the report Harel produced was extremely accurate, and the actions were exactly what he would have recommended.
