Insomnia is a grab and go type of cookie store, pretty small inside. This place is quite consistently terrible. The first time I went, I had placed a pickup order through Uber Eats. When I arrived, the door was locked and the store appeared closed. After waiting for about 10 minutes, a staff member finally opened the door and handed over our box of cookies, but they seemed pretty annoyed at us for being there, despite it being open hours. The second time I went, pretty consistent experience of the employee talking down to us for asking a question and appearing impatient. They have variety of classic, premium and vegan cookies. Got the classic 6 box with 3 classic flavors, double chocolate was light and kinda tasted like dark chocolate. The chocolate chip was one of the favorites and white macadamia was a bit too sweet. Finally, a shop that satiates my need for a sweet fix that is open until midnight in Mission Bay! I highly recommend their classic chocolate chip cookie in Vegan as well as their classic chocolate chip with regular dairy -- It's amazing, but the difference is so irrelevant, both chocolate chips tasted amazing. Another huge plus is that all the cookies are packaged and given to you warm, so be sure to grab a tea or a glass of milk pronto when you get home with your goods! I've walked past this Insomnia location a couple of times and it's easy to miss with all of the construction scaffolding happening right outside the front door. I've ordered two of 20 for $20 boxes for delivery during their birthday month promotions and both times the experience was pleasant. The cookies arrived right around the time selected for delivery and they were warm and fresh. Both times the orders consisted of mostly double chocolate mint and white chocolate macadamia cookies with one of two of a couple of the other flavors, and both times all the cookies looked similar in size and tasted similar in freshness. Both times the boxes came sealed with a sticker and with a detailed receipt on top. Both times all 20 cookies were consumed over the course of a couple of days. In comparison to my experience at the SF State campus location, this location is a lot better with quality control and tends to churn out the thicker, gooeyer cookies. I think the 20 for $20 box deal is also available three times per customer compared to once per customer at other locations, so don't sleep on getting your cookies for a good price today. read more

This would be it. 95%+ of the time there are no employees tending the front of the store. I can't imagine how much LOST REVENUE they suffer from passers-by thinking the store is closed. Unfortunately, the associate who took our orders was extremely condescending and passive aggressive.
