I have bought from Wesley and this store since they were on west main street in Spartanburg...so…read morethat would be over 30 years ago. Those of you with negative ratings must have had a bad day. I have half a household of their furniture...all solid wood and never veneers. Their furniture comes from the best manufacturers in North Carolina...never Chinese. I have a bedroom suite (pineapple post) with a matching dining table and chairs. A formal dining room suite with china cabinet and matching buffet. Anywhere else the bedroom suite alone would be $7,000 plus and the dining room suite at least that much and maybe more anywhere else. I got great bargains out of just those two rooms...all solid wood furniture. I challenge anyone to beat their prices for the quality they sell...want real bargains...shop when they have a tent sale and save even more.

I called this morning and the gal said it would be all plastic wrapped and ready to go. Once we got to the store the chair was no where to be found. The owner said it showed 8 in stock and they had zero. I made a statement to him that as an owner not knowing his inventory, it looked to me he did not no his ass from his elbow. He told me to remove myself from His store immediately. I laughed at him and told him I was not going anywhere until our refund was processed. He told me if I did not leave the showroom floor he was going to call the police. He went in to his office and never came back out. Needless to say our refund was processed and we left the store without any help from the police. Very very disappointed

Just like a lot of folks, over a period of time wasting money on furniture that doesn't last we learned the lesson: Don't go cheap buying furniture that's inexpensively made. It's a better value in the long run to buy household furniture that's made to last! Amelia's has really made us happy with this piece! So much so that we returned and purchased an extremely well made sofa and TV stand. There was an issue with the two delivery guys who wanted twice the agreed price to bring this huge and heavy piece into our home. We paid up; they honestly earned their money ; this was a tough job even for two big delivery guys!
