Sasha is the absolute best! I've been seeing her for prenatal Rolfing sessions at the Kearny location during covid times, and always feel safe going in for my appointments with the air purifiers running, temperature checks, space between appointments, frequent hand sanitizing, etc. As a petite woman with a constantly changing body due to pregnancy, I probably would have been in much more discomfort without having Sasha as part of my care team, as she's always attentive to my trouble areas/ body's needs even when I don't realize it, even ensuring I switched from rolfing to a prenatal massage when I was closer to delivering to alleviate some of the swelling. She also worked on my husband who is very active with tight muscles as he does rigorous work outs at least 5 days a week. Sasha is fantastic, strong, peaceful, warm, but gives you space and very intelligent about pain points and how to release them. I always go to her with pain that I think is coming from one spot and she ends up working on a muscle I wasn't even aware existed, I also always feel like I would need 4 sessions in a row to feel better but I end up feeling great after just 1 session I use to need a message to manage my pain every 2 weeks, but with Sasha very thorough sessions, I really need a massage every 2 months or so. I needed some intense TMJ release because my jaw got misaligned one day during my sleep. I panicked and found Inline Bodies on Yelp. I set an appointment for a TMJ massage release with Sasha and it helped me tenfold. After just one 30-minute session, my mouth felt relaxed and my jaw had more movement. Go see Esther! I can't say enough about how much I benefit from regular massage appts with her. I get pretty knotty and she gets into it better than other massage therapists I've seen previously. She has a very professional and soothing presence and seeks to understand what's going on for you before the massage begins. I got a massage from Emily and it was an amazingly soothing experience. She first carefully listened to my previous experience with massage therapy and my pain points to adapt the intensity of her work. I work on a computer all day and practice rock climbing 3-4 times a week so my back is really at stress. Then, with a well-thought small music background, she started working on my upper back, as this is where most of the tension came from. It seemed like she was magically untangling muscles in my back. Emily masters the therapeutic technique and also knows how to quickly jump to lighter massage to achieve a perfect relaxation of the muscles. I felt more relaxed than I have in a while. If you ask her details about what she's doing, she will be happy to explain it in an understandable way that reflects a deep knowledge of the subject, which is very reassuring. I waited next day to write this review to see if there was a sustained progress and yes, I did sleep better, but I also really feel like my back is more relaxed today. Sasha was great. I went to see her because of an old broken leg/smashed ankle injury I had on a motorcycle accident around 18 months ago. Physical therapy, message and chiropractors were not able to get any more range of motion out of my ankle so I decided to give Rolfing a try. I travel to and from San Francisco on a weekly basis for business and have always been challenged to find a good massage. I've been to all the good hotel spas and a variety of specialty massage places and they just don't provide a personal experience where you feel like someone stops from "automatic pilot" to really get a sense for what ails. I randomly found Nikki through some searches online and was intrigued by the backgrounds of the practitioners - all having relevant and advanced degrees in more than just massage. I've been very pleased with my massages by both Nikki and Katie after about 4 appointments. Nikki understood my desire to have a relaxing massage - as I often just need a massage to help me stop my week from the rampage it normally is. She focused on a very soothing but firm massage. Katie has been doing several of my massages for a few weeks as Nikki was out for a bit. Katie's attention to creating a great mood as well as being able to really understand ME rather than just do what she knows. That's what has been keeping me coming back - is that personalized experience and desire to continue going further to make the massage customized. Last week, as promised, Katie brought her "hot stones" to try some additional support to the movements - and the heated stones did wonders for relaxing my tense muscles. ..and if I didn't make it clear, both Nikki and Katie have incredibly soothing demeanors - helping make the whole visit a calming one. The space is simple and cozy - a great space with soothing music, warmth, and the most incredible "bedding" if you call it that - on the massage table I've ever felt. The office is located fairly centrally downtown and was a breeze to get to midday for a massage appointment. Walking in, I immediately felt the quiet and soothing energy of the space. Esther was there to greet me and led me into her room. She was friendly, welcoming and very professional. As a bigger guy, I tend to like a lot of pressure when getting a massage which she definitely delivered on. I also felt like she was very attentive to the areas of my body that needed the most work and adjusted accordingly without me having to direct her. This is my 1st prenatal massage (having 2nd baby) and I felt really great right after. I had Emily and she did an awesome job. She was really sweet and made sure that I was comfortable all throughout the 75 minutes she had me. I had been fairly active the last 10 years of my life(running, step aerobics, gym 5x/week) but the last 3 years I have slowed down A LOT, and have found that my body is starting to feel old! hahaha! I read about Rolfing via Bloomspot and was instantly intrigued. I spent THOUSANDS of dollars seeing a chiropractor last year and I'm not sure it ultimately helped. Inline Bodies is located inside ActivSpace, a very interesting complex of small businesses making their way in the world. Cat Sitters, lots of hair stylists, bike repair! For a rolfing session, I was already in basic workout shorts and sports bra so I didn't need a dressing room, etc. The room is comfortable and inviting. Sasha is knowledgeable and answered all my questions about Rolfing is and what to expect from our sessions. She was communicative and ultimately put me and my body at ease. "Can you relax your armpits for me?" This is not Swedish Massage! Sasha gives you the atomic elbow and you will like it!... My rotator cuff felt better after just 1 session, and even better after 2. Unfortunately, I am moving abroad to Hong Kong.... bummed that my newfound relationship with Sasha would be short. But she followed up with me and sent me info on rolfing therapist in HK! Awesome. Heard she is locating to a larger space on Valencia and 23rd(above Beretta) so good for her! I've been a very happy client of Nikki's for nearly a year now, and can't recommend her enough. She's remarkably skilled and possesses the intuition of a healer. In just one hour she can undo a month's worth of stress and poor computer posture for me, and I never flinch once. (A lot of therapists like to unleash a merciless attack on my knots, even though I mention I'm too much of a weenie to handle it.) Her extensive background in yoga and pilates and study in kinesiology really shows up in her work. She's often recommended useful stretches and posture tips I hadn't heard before. Seriously one of the greatest hours of bodywork I've received. Katherine was fantastic. After suffering from a severe tension headache I went on to yelp to find someone available. She responded to my request within the hour and later that day she had me booked for an evening appointment. When I arrived she was waiting for me and helped me work through what sets of manual body work I needed. She was so thorough and helped me see how my headaches were a part of tension that was saved all over my body. I went to Emily with extreme tightness in my neck and shoulders from a previous injury. The pain was keeping me awake at night, so I immediately knew I needed to get some bodywork done. Love love love. Between my husband and I we've had every type of body work Sasha offers: Rolfing, massage, prenatal. I've been to Inline bodies twice now, once with Sasha and once with Emily. The latest session was an emergency visit - I had re-injured my back while rehabbing and the muscles around the injury were clenching badly. I called around to various massage therapists late on a Friday, but not surprisingly could not find anyone available immediately. Inline had Saturday afternoon appointments available according to their on-line schedule. However Sasha called and said Emily would come in early to see me at 9:15 AM Saturday morning if I wanted (!). The session was Emily was great. She was easy to talk to about the injury and clearly knew what she was doing. She got the muscles to back off and afterward we talked through my rehab and she had some useful insights.
