Worth every star, and more. The best service, the best prices and the best thing of all?
They are totally trustworthy, transparent, and upfront. I asked on some Nerja/Malaga-ish Facebook page if anyone could recommend a Mac repair store -- and absolutely everybody recommended a shop called MacsRus...
Just joking.
Absolutely everybody -- without exception -- recommended Ink and Chips -- and they all raved about some güey called José. Now, it's possible, I guess, that Ink and Chips is actually the only Mac/Windows/ laptop/desktop/computer/phone/whatever repair place in the 'hood .... and so that's why everyone recommended it. But, I'm pretty sure that's not the case. However, even if
it was the only place in town it would be because nobody else could compete with them, let
alone match/beat them.
Now, I'm most definitely not a person who has a "thing" about computer repair shops, and loves nothing more than visiting and reviewing them. Dive bars? Definitely. Pool halls? Most certainly
(if they have an alcohol license). Cosmetic surgeons? Hell to the yeah. Computer repair places? Not so much. But, I'm making an exception here, and giving up twenty minutes of my life to
write this review. Because, props where props are due. These guys rock...like mid to late '80s Beastie Boys hip hop rock.
You can contact them via WhatsApp if you can't be assed to go in person or to talk to anyone -- and they reply lightening quick. They're not going to try and upsell you, mislead you, or rip you off, which I've experienced way too many times in the past -- but then, I lived in LA and in
Mexico, so go figure. It's all just good, old fashioned customer service, honesty, and stellar
ethics -- all at a great price. Oh, and it turns out that José güey speaks fluent English -- which is great if you can't hablar español -- or you have the vocabulary of a four-year-old Spanish child
(in my case, one that's being raised by drinking, smoking, swearing Mexican banditos).
OK, that's the very first, and hopefully, the last, computer repair shop review I ever write, Insha'Allah. But hey, it's worth being twenty minutes closer to death to recommend these guys. read more
