Beware Ingrams Chimnney Sweepers is no longer owned by Ingrams which was a reputable company. Present owner, J. Booth. Maybe the company can clean Chimneys. The company is not capable of any Chimney repairs. Most of the work was not done as quoted and was overcharged for it $$$. Contacted the owner who denied the work was not done and would not rectify monetarily. Hired a Chimney Mason who evaluated and repaired the repairs. Jim & Justin were awesome! We scheduled a (reasonable) 2h window and then they called me, as promised, 30 minutes ahead of arrival and were on time to the appointment. We have 3 fireplaces. One is all gas, one is gas ignition wood burning, and one is a regular fireplace. Justin was great at explaining that our stainless-lined chimney for the gas fireplace doesn't really need cleaning very often and told us what to look for when cleaning could be required. The gas ignition wood burning fireplace was so clean already that they didn't charge us for it (it is a new house to us and we had no idea it was "clean" so we really appreciated their professionalism & honesty). The regular wood burning fireplace was dirty and Jim made super quick work of cleaning it. He said he has 20 years of experience doing this and he has worked for Ingram's, which is family owned, for many many years. The whole cleaning process took ~30min. Jim used drop cloths over everything and laid them in front of himself as he walked through the house before going anywhere in case anything was on his boots. He used a GIGANTIC vacuum & scrubby brushes to clean the fireplace & chimney. We got a receipt with a fireplace diagram on it. We would definitely use them again for chimney / fireplace cleaning.
