Inside and out this lovely Cafe is airy, clean and well designed. Not only can you enjoy a delicious German meal at this establishment, you can also purchase German meats, cheeses, freshly made Brotchen and various other pantry items to take home. This is the first German Deli in Indy I have seen that is comparable to the German Deli's up north in Chicago. Even though the selection is small, what they have to offer is enough to entice me to come in again. We had the Schnitzel, the first thing I try at any German Restaurant. Crusted in perfectly seasoned bread crumbs the pork it encased was deliciously tender. It was topped with a slice of lemon of which I squeezed in over the crisp schnitzel making the first bite a perfectly tangy experience. The dish was served with a traditional German potato salad, either red cabbage or sour kraut and a fresh warm Brotchen. Hearty yet refreshingly light, this dish tasted like home. They also serve desserts which I regrettably did not not try. Their Black Forrest cake looks EXACTLY like my German Born the one my mother makes. I recommend this restaurant highly for it's service, atmosphere and terrific food. read more
