Of the 3 reps, I liked Josh the best as he frequently mentioned that his team is professional and he quaranteed that I would like it. His estimate was the lowest of the 3, by a significant margin. We choose the metal posts because if I do live long enough to replace the the fence again, the posts will be intact and replacement is very simple. We chose the cedar pickets, again for longevity, yet when up, they are actually very atractive. For privacy, on a side with an active neighbor, we chose 'board on board'. It gave us the privacy because there are no gaps and it is actually a very good look. I wish we had done both entire sides using 'board on board'. Be sure to ask about it. Our 52" gates on both sides are well supported and I will not be worrying about sagging. Josh's crew IS professional. They come to work and do it right; all the time communicating to be sure that they were producing what we were expecting. The truth is, it's better than we expected. And we're grateful for that. After they first contacted me they were able to send a representative out within 48 hours and I had my quote soon after. They were by far the most bang for the buck so I went with them (I also got really spooked bc a lot of other brands I looked at were not actually local, they were services paying for leads for random contractors and I didn't feel good about that--Empire is a family business with 70 years history and I see their signs on fences all over my neighborhood so I felt confident in my choice. New fence looks great, went up in two days and they even sent a 3rd person to triple check it after the crew had left.
