The man and woman that work there (own the business?) do not speak much English, which for something that could be considered health care is strange. I was unable to tell them that I have major back problems thus giving them the opportunity to tailor their routine to accommodate my back problems. The session started out with the woman attacking my face with some type of oil. I stopped her and wiped off whatever she was intending to use. She then proceeded to give me some sort of head massage, which just hurt and pulled my hair almost out. Then she started with my feet. After a few minutes the man took over. Weird changing horses midstream, but whatever. Actually he was better. Until he started doing chiropractic type manipulations on my back. I told him to stop. It was painful, and my back hurt for two days following this visit. The good part was that I slept really well after the session, and in general felt a little more integrated and healthy. So there were good aspects, and some bad ones. I don't think I will go back however.

There is a subtle but persistent solicitation for customers to visit their nearby eco-village and other properties. Innocent upselling or a recruitment scheme? Hard to tell. They seem to be genuinely nice people, but I wish they would back off just a notch on the guru quotient.

Both the nail/pedicure area is very clean and tidy and can't beat the price. I never pay more than $18 for a spa treatment pedicure with gel polish, including tip (less when the peso is high or when I choose to get regular nail polish). My go-to pedicure salon for great service and a perfect pedi. ***I highly recommend you set an appointment before showing up as they're a popular nail salon and while walk-in's are welcome, sometimes they're completely booked for the day.
