We were coming back from Oberhausen, Germany from the crazy shopper after the day New Years (European's version of Black Friday). After a couple calls about our late arrival because of traffic, we finally arrived. The location for this place is huge but can be missed since it's located in a industrial location. During the evening we almost had the Karting tracking all to our selves. Located in the middle of almost no where, Kartbaan is a fun place to get your speed demon in you free. For only about 14 euros per person we were able to race go karts in a two story track. During the evening the rules are quite simple and I was riding with my younger cousins. The kids actually have smaller go karts that actually do go fairly fast as the adult karts. Though the karting is all indoor it has outdoor temperature and it was cold. After ten minutes are up my hands were basically all numb from the freezing temperature. After an hiatus and watching other people go at it, we went again. I was able to cut a good nine seconds or so from my best lap time. I wasn't able to go that crazy on the first round. Besides the karting, we also went bowling within the building. Believe it or not it's my first time bowling! I thought bowling is a boring ordeal so I never did it even when people invited. But it was great fun, the kids gets a handicap of automated railed alley so they get no gutter balls. I wish I got that too since most of my plays were guttered so horribly. While bowling, we were able to order beverages including beer and deep fried snacks. The karting is soo fun that I wanted to do that all day! ------ + Pro: It has the works, Paintball, Bowling, Bar, Karting, and etc. - Con: Can be difficult to get to. \( ^,^)/ Overall: Can replace Disneyland in my eyes! read more

This indoor go kart track is nothing like I've ever experienced in the US. First of all, there's a barand yes, you're perfectly free to have a drink before as well as after your turn a few laps in their karts. Instead of a series of legal waivers and a lengthy safety briefing, they happen to have a little safety video on loop as you wait to get into your kart. The gist of the video is, 'please wear a helmet if you don't mind and seatbelts are optional.'--all with the undertone of: 'guess what? if you mess up and hurt yourself, that's on you!' Ah personal responsibility, a concept almost completely foreign to my fellow countrymen. And the track itself is definitely no kiddie park ride. The karts are quick and unrestricted, so full throttle is really full throttle. The track has a number of technical turns including a second story! After coming down the front straight, you take a serious hairpin, dodge a chicane and head straight up a ramp to the second floor. Whip around some esses on the top then dive down another ramp to get you back to ground levelafter just a few laps I was definitely getting a workout and sweating a good deal. If you're used to indoor karting in the US though, be forewarned, the locals know how to take a curve and are significantly more aggressive on the track.to avoid getting slammed into a track barrier, you better be a quick driver, or willing to get out of the way of that Schumacher wannabe directly on your tail. So, once you start to get bored of the almost endless dairy fields of rural Hollandthe Kartbaan's an oasis for speed demons. Did I mention that they have a bar too? read more
