Since working in this area, my coworkers introduced me to "chicken lollipops" which are so good and so cheap for about .79 cents each. I was scared at first since they joked about them being actual lollipops just chicken flavored but when I tried them, I was hooked! Basically they're just chicken patties on a stick! We always order a lot and they make them fresh so it's a bit of a wait but they taste best when hot and fresh. I always ask for the red sauce... Not sure what it is but it makes the chicken lollipop taste delicious. If they say they're out, there's ketchup bottles in the fridge, just grab it and get some because without the sauce, the chicken lollipops are not the same! As for their food, their chicken biriyani is only $3-4 and fills you up but I don't like bones in my food so I usually get the butter chicken which is veryyy oily! I ordered chicken 65 and the meat tasted chewy and old. I also got butter chicken which tasted bland and watered down. The chutney (Rita) also was very watered down. The cafe is small and the line got long both times I was there. You can tell the food is authentic when the majority of the customers are Indian or Pakistanians. I'm hooked on their beef samosa, goat karhai curry and naan bread. The curry is spicy and the meat is tender and falls off the bone. I love how fresh the naan bread. It comes out soft, hot and flakey. It's the perfect accompaniment to the curry. The beef samosa also has a little spicy and I love how crispy the shell is. It's a little expensive for $1 each when it's not that big but I think its worth a try. The mint chutney rocks! Make sure you get some of that with your samosa. I have tried their vegetable biryani and it's pretty good. I love the big chunks of potato and the serving is quite large for the price. I've also tried the butter chicken and found it to be too oily and lacked seasoning. It's still sitting in my fridge uneaten. I'll need to throw it out soon. I plan to come back often to try some of their other menu items. I thought that they only take cash but saw at the register that they do take cards but it's a $3 minimum to use the card. Just the right amount of spices and heat. The vegetarian biryani was excellent as was the naan. They give you a lot of food so best you do take out unless you can eat like a horse! I order a Bun Kabab today on 11/10/2020 I specifically ask that how you make your Bun Kabab. Usually Ban Kabab made in Pakistan this way first you make Kabab with ground beef + Chana Dal + Cilantro+ Green Chili paper + other spices in it. and fry this Kabab by dipping in eggs and then you put this in between buns with Onions + tomato and other stuff with Teekhi chatni. There's crunchy black peppercorns, tiny mini lemons the size of a thimble, and several types of aromatic leaves in it. Wow! As good as this is, I would not describe it as gourmet dining, though. There are bones in the Chicken Biryani. If you've ever eaten in an outdoor food stall that had incredible food in a 3rd world country, then you'll know what I'm talking about. Their Chaat (snacks such as samosa, etc) and and Biryani are the royalty of Mumbai street food. Atmosphere (* out of *****) The timid A/C, Bollywood movies playing on the TV, and mismatched dollar store furniture gives it a kinda realistic Mumbai street food stall atmosphere. This place truly is a "hole in the wall" because there's a hole in the wall of an Indian supermarket that you walk through to get to this eatery. Service (** out of *****) Service? What service? This is self-service a la Mumbai street food stall. You pick up and pay for your food at the window. Afterwards, you bus your own table. Conclusion (*** out of *****) I gave this place extra stars because of value. Their chaat such as samosa and pastries are only $1 to $1.25. Their Chicken Biryani is only $3.50. What a bargain! For the price of a meal at Mickey D's, you can escape the mundane and travel to Mumbai for an hour. This is a great place to bring a playful date or close friend. I just love indo pak! Cheap, good food and large portions what else can you want?! Experience: Overall, I had a great experience at indo pak. This was probably my 10th time here and I love It! The café is pretty sketchy looking (I come here pretty much only for the café, not to shop) but even though it looks kinda uneasy, the food is delicious and they get it out pretty fast. Top this over some rice and it's game over to your summer time abs. chicken biryiani - pretty much indian fried rice. The portion is very good with nice chunks of bone-in chicken pieces in it. Naan bread - i'm a huge sucker of carbs aka bread. The naan is griddled and develops a nice char. The texture is amazing... it has the chew of a nice pita. The flavor is on point, yeasty flavor with some charred undertones. Cheap food, large portions sums up what I pretty much have to say about this place. No doubt the chicken Biryiani is hollerific good. I wouldn't use the phrase "yummy in my tummy" though only because I could feel the amount of oil that was settling in my stomach- not too yummy. I have to admit the naan bread is super fresh, flaky and probably one of the better ones I've had. Ok, I'm not Indian so I can't really credit myself as an idian food conossieur or anything but just as an individual who really likes good food, I really enjoyed the bread. There's lots here besides biriani! The achar chicken (curry) has a complex lemony taste and is moderately spicy - my favorite so far (4.99). The chicken korma is good and mild (4.99). The eggplant was good (3.99). Chole chicken is curry with chickpeas (4.99). The grill special plate is generous with a leg & thigh, kebab (which one of us liked and one didn't), salad, and naan for either 4.99 or 5.99 (I don't remember). Naan is decent. Condiments include a tasty thin spicy mint/cilantro chutney and a red sauce. Also the English of the condiment world: ketchup. Fried appetizers are good and better yet if you take some home and put them under a broiler. And you can finish with a nice paan quid. Indo-Pak is by far, the best deal on Indian/Pakistani food in Dallas. It's truly a basic Asian cafe, more than street food, but I know why some reviewers reference that. so lets not get it twisted. this place is the south-central asian cuisine equivalent to Big Mama's or rudy's which while tasty are not the cleanest. and it's not the best, but it is most definitely the best for it's price. so if that irks you don't bother. if you just care about good indo/pakistani/bangladeshi food in a decent if hole-in-the-wallish environment that has impossible to beat price this is the place. i have literally not been able to find too many other restaurants that make Rejala, and if i do it's usually crud, they make some indian or Pakistani cultural varient but it doesn't taste the same, their Biryani is great for the price, i defy you to find a beef or goat biryani that tastes as good for less than 10 dollars, theirs is 6 and 8 respectively. this little hole in the wall does it. not perfectly, but well enough for me. the service isn't great, and it's not spotless, but the prices and quality of food can and do often make up for it. don't get me wrong, they can screw up your order or make it crappily but they have never given me trouble in replacing an item i wasn't satisfied with. so just check your stuff. and it'll will be a surprisingly good experience. read more

Been going here for a while and like to get takeout for out of town friends who visit. I like: chicken patties, vegi samosas, beef samosas, vegi biriyani, pretty much every appetizer in the glass case. What's not to like: butter chicken is homestyle instead of restaurant style which is fine in theory, but the gravy here breaks up and has woody stalks in it and onion skins and is pretty bad if you ask me. the homestyle butter chicken at Yyka is a million times better, but for restaurant style butter chicken Chameli across the street is the best in Texas. Chicken biriyani has a lot of bones and cartilege. Goat biriyani had a funky off taste. Water urn is apparently not cleaned regularly and once my water has slime in it and I'll never drink water from it again! Yet, I still eat here fairly often. In fact, I usually get appetizers here then curries across the street at Chameli (then make a pilao rice at home myself). If I'm motivated enough I'll also stop at Zyka for their amazing Chicken 65 which is better then I can make at home (and I make some good chicken 65). Prices are very reasonable. Goat Biryani :D That's what I was told to try here and wasn't disappointed. Its better to order on phone and get it to-go as the restaurant itself is very small and being a part of the IndoPak supermarket, seating is less and also there is always a huge crowd to order. So if you want to go there directly and then order or dine-in, be prepared to wait in queue for 10-20 mins at least. The Goat Biryani is the standout item so far that I have eaten there. Only for the $7 it is like great food for a bargain. The spices are to the right amount and the goat was tender as well. The Chicken Biryani - $4 is ordinary. The taste is okay. Same with the fish biryani. I guess they use the same rice that is cooked for Chicken biryani with Fish. The thali served was good as well. The Goat curry had a good taste and definitely worth going back again. The pakoras were good but were cold and hence I would take them to-go and reheat. Samosa was good as well. Overall so far only the Chicken and Fish Biryani's were not great. Rest all of the stuff seemed more than good. They have a lot of other items on the menu which I need to try but the Goat Biryani so far has been the winner and not allowed me to try those. For all those non-veg lovers - this place truly is like finding gold in desert! The fried snack items are not freshly prepared after 8 so only the ones available are served.
