The place has a homely kitchen feel to it - but a bit shabby. The man who served us could have been more friendlier to us. That would have complimented the warm feeling of the place. The coconut chutney was fresh but a bit dry - a little bit more water or use of fresh coconut is recommended as I suspect dried coconut were used.

What was sad was that the dahi vada was well made but had no saltiness and sweetness expected, the puri were reheated in microwave and thus crunchy as a papadam (which when we make at home is never served), and samosas/pakoras lacked salt. I feel its an insult to Indian food when basics are not right, and it saddens me that the locals will form an opinion of the cuisine which is false. I had ordered palaak paneer with a side of garlic naan and a mango lassi. The palak paneer was so creamy and filled to the brim with paneer and spinach. It was absolutely delicious! I think the only thing I was lacking was stronger spice. The naan is made in house and was baked perfectly. Nothing was oily or overcooked. The staff is very friendly- always ready to crack a joke. But, you don't go to an Indian restaurant for the atmosphere or staff - you go for the food. And this place delivers. Ever dish that I have tried has been superb. The various currys are flavorful, spicy, and complex. They offer great sides too including fresh Nan.
