We followed Covid-Protocols, used the correct entrance /exit doors, and used proper manors for this situation. But when we walked in, we could not get the attention of any of their three staff behind the counter to inquire about the bags on display. So we went back outside, and took a picture of the bag I wanted to look at in one of their display windows. We speak some Spanish, but not enough for this. So in Google translate I asked if I may see the bag in their window and thought I could show them the picture. The first sales person walked away when we tried this. So we tried a second staff member. When we got their attention they flatly ignored what I had written and pulled down another bag that was nothing like the one from their window. When I tried to tell them that isn't the bag in their display window, they walked away to assist another customer. I'm not sure how I could have been anymore polite, respectful or clear, so honestly if you are a tourist or are not fluent in Spanish, don't try shopping here. Spend your money at shop that is willing to assist you, even with a language barrier.

This leather store is located in tepico market in the centro. It's a bit intimidating at first,…read morebecause the market is so huge. But find this place if you're looking for leather goods. My husband bought me a jacket from here as a gift but it didn't quite fit so we headed back to exchange it. I was wary that a store in a market like this would have an exchange policy but sure enough they did. The guy that helped us was really kind and got me all the sizes, colors and styles I wanted to try on. I ended up with a dark brown leather bomber jacket...the leather is soft, it fits great, and it looks like a jacket I would have paid a lot more for in New York. They have black, brown, tan, mint green, hot pink, white leather and all the styles you can think of. There were a lot of purses but I spent so much time looking at the jackets I didn't have time to sort through those. Next time I'll be sure to. This place is definitely a find!

She went right back to her very important phone and ignored us until I started to look at things folded on a rack. She then moved swiftly to show me a sample that was hanging on a hanger. Then she went huffily back to the rack from which I had removed one item and refolded an item that had been next to it. By that time I just wanted to leave and there was no way I would buy anything! Worst experience I've ever had in Mexico. I only wrote this review to let the boss know how her salesperson behaves in her absence. It's too bad because there were many nice things in the shop.

We came when it was nearing closing time so not all the stalls were open, but there were still a good number of them waiting around for last minute customers. But the perk was that it wasn't crowded at all. We ended up leaving with a nice colorful bag at this one stall that differed from the rest. And we also grabbed some colorful coasters at another. Thankfully they took card so that was a huge help. Though we didn't think about bargaining... Ugh. Americans. Haha.
