I'll most likely visit JC barbers again since it's such a convenient location for me, and hopefully one day I'll get the right haircut! The staff are friendly (sometimes too chatty, if it distracts them from cutting my hair), although it can be nice, too.

This has become my regular barber for over a year now. 6 chairs, 6 barbers during busy times and…read moreusually wait times are short (if there is a wait you can take a number and either read the newspapers provided or stroll around the square, grab a coffee or beer within 3-4 minutes walk. The guys are always upbeat and do a good and thorough job. Personally I just take a #3 and general trim. They always take care of the little hair growth nooks and crannies so that you come out looking smart and tidy. All this (for an old guy like me) for £7 ($9) so I make sure I leave a generous tip (not the norm in the UK). Oh almost forget - the Turkish final coup! They flame your ears!!! You won;t be bored, expect banter, and a lot of quirks lining the walls to look at. Just off the main street down the alley towards iceland, which means it's just off a carpark too. You can buy cock grease here (no, not like that, for your hair, not something for the weekend- though it does carry a "keeping it up" joke for good measure) and the owner's own concoctions of excellent smelling beard oils, shave oils and moustache waxes. It's good to book, but he does take walk ins when he isn't too busy, the apprentice is tip top too. Expect plenty of banter, and most likely, to become a bit of a regular!
