Incfile is supposed to email you when there is any correspondence in your account regarding your business. I received a very important compliance message regarding my business on Sept. 20, 2018 in my account. Not until I got my annual "reminder to file for franchise tax" email (today) did I log into my account and see the unread/unopened message sitting there since September of 2018. It's 1.31.2019, almost five months later. I checked my email history over ten times wanting to be wrong because I couldn't believe they would be so negligent but there is nothing from them in my inbox, spam, deleted emails, anywhere. Disgusting experience with this company. Applied for (LLC) in Delaware. I waited for 4 months and so did not wait. During this time, I lost time and suppliers, all work stopped because there was no company. After the last time, I checked my account (after 4 months of waiting). The company wasn't ready. I asked for support to cancel and close my account, to return all my money since the service was not performed. Support requested payment (about $ 300) for closing the company (by the way which did not exist yet). I have been a customer of Incfile for over 6 years - using them for their Registered Agent services for many of our clients. Usually their customer service has been good but as of lately they have dropped the ball. Not sure if they have anyone working Customer Service. I have called more than a dozen times and left messages - no return call. I have also emailed, even get their 'auto-reply' about how they will get back to me within 24-48 hours. Used them before and it was fine. This time my application was placed on hold after it was supposedly sent to the state. There was no communication regarding this. I contacted their customer service and was told the following. "Given a change of policy we had recently within our company, we are now requesting a picture of the card you used to pay for the order. We use this measure so we can verify you have access to the card you have provided to pay and that no one stole information and is placing the order with this card without consent from the person on the card. All we need is a picture of the front side of the card and where we can see all four corners. You can cover the first 12 digits of the card and show the last four digits of the card. Make sure the full name is displayed and the image is clear and readable. I must clarify that even if you are a recurring customer you will be asked to show the card to us for our own protection and the protection of the owner of the card. I hope you can understand and if you don't feel comfortable with this procedure we can cancel and refund your order and have the money returned to the card as soon as possible. Shortly after you pay for their expensive plan that "includes everything", Incfile tells you that your "Statement of Information" is due. I asked why they didn't file it, and they say that they can. INCFILE seemed like a good idea even though I read that it was too expensive for what they did. I needed a registered agent anyway so I went ahead and setup my LLC with them. Warning - DO NOT USE THEIR VIRTUAL MAIL SERVICE. After not receiving any virtual mail notifications for weeks, I tested the feature. I typed a specific letter addressed to my business with concerns about INCFILE and possible fraud. The letter was dated September 24, 2020 mailed from one City in NJ to another. I justed got a notification in my virtual mailbox today, October 12,2020. Oh, and the person who read it (they do not simply open and scan them) wrote on the letter in pen "Looks like no fraud." I am now taking legal action against INCFILE just as I described in the letter, which they person obviously doubt take seriously who read my business correspondence.
