As an educator for nearly ten years, I have seen firsthand the difference between a child who has had a supportive community around them from the very beginning and a child who has not. My mission is to be a part of that supportive community for families by providing a loving and nurturing space for children to grow, learn, and play when they are not in the arms of their parents. Children enrolled in Cottonwood Cottage Childcare will be enveloped in a child-centered, play-based environment that promotes a child’s autonomy inside the boundaries of truth, kindness, self-confidence, and love. Throughout a child’s care, he or she will be exposed to educational and experiential opportunities that support their unique growth and development. For example, children will have access to dramatic play, building materials, artistic opportunities, and social/emotional interactions facilitated by age-appropriate conversation.
