(THAT should have been a warning sign) she wanted to take on this case herself. She started the following week. Latish was late every day n called out within the first week. I had to talk with her about how unacceptable this was and how bad this was being owner and operator. She was then on time every day. Things were going well. Labor day weekend came she did her Saturday shift we chatted and laughed through out the day. She reached out via txt on monday saying ill see you Tuesday and ill have your check. Tuesday morning 9/5/23 i woke up to see her txt saying she was having her brakes replaced (mind you this was an excuse used 1 month prior) i asked if she was coming n she said no. I asked if she was sending someone to cover she she said no. Finally she says via txt Saturday that passed was her last day as well as mine (as i am on the waiver program for my son) she said it did not benefit her in any way . Please be wary of using this ompany as the owner had no decency or consideration.

Genell assured us that she would hand-pick the associate and bring her to our house herself for an interview. Well, that is where the professionalism stopped. I called the office on a SATURDAY AFTERNOON to HIRE the chosen candidate for the next day. Given that they are SUPPOSEDLY OPEN 24/7 this should not have been a problem. Genell was impossible to be reached, I called and spoke with someone from the office THREE TIMES ON SATURDAY, who PROMISED ME that she would FIND GENELL who NEVER GOT BACK TO ME UNTIL 11:00 A.M. THE FOLLOWING MONDAY MORNING, and NO ONE ELSE bothered to get back to me on the Sunday that I requested the hrpelp for either. The explanation I got from Genell was that she was at the PITTSTON TOMATO FESTIVAL, and she did not have her WORK PHONE WITH HER, and even though the WOMAN from the office told me she would GO THERE AND FIND HER, she did not have any time to RETURN A CALL ANYWAY ! I find the entire experience with this staff not only TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL, BUT UNCONSCIONABLE AS WELL. And, I will PREFER TO NOT LET THEM TAKE CARE OF MY MOTHER.

My name is Joe Nespoli…read more My wife Connie and I were clients of Visiting Angels during her struggles with Lewy Body Dementia. She passed two years ago, it was a tragic and difficult time for our family. For the last two years of her life Visiting Angels sent us several competent caregivers and one very special one, Kristen Hill. She spent almost two years with Connie and the love, kindness and compassion she demonstrated on a daily basis was a great blessing to our family. Knowing that I could totally trust my wife with Kristen enabled me to have a life outside of being a caregiver, and energize me to deal with an heart wrenching and life changing situation. When my wife's disease reached a stage where we felt we could no longer deal with it at home, we placed here in an assisted living facility. It was a failed experiment that lasted 2 months, before we realized it was time to bring her home for good. Once again during this difficult time of transition Visiting Angels came to our aid. Connie was not getting the care she needed at the facility, and for the two weeks it took to arrange for her to come home, Kristen spent every day with her there giving her the individual care she needed. I was mostly there as well but it was so much less terrifying to have Kristen there with us. Also the pain of leaving was made easier knowing that when I left Connie was not alone but in the care of someone who loved her. When Connie came home, Visiting Angels provided us with another angel in her own right, Zonia Adams, our live-in. This women took total control in handling such a scary and sad time. Her care of Connie was meticulous, in the bathing, the feeding, and sitting with her during her night time terrors, she never woke me for help one time, depriving herself of sleep to sit with my wife. She loved Connie it was plain to see, and she grew to love our entire family just as Kristen had. Kristen remained as a part time caregiver and together these two wonderful women allowed us to keep Connie at home until she passed. It would not have been possible without them; I will be forever grateful; with their help I can look back on a difficult time without guilt or regret: we will always consider them as family. There were several phone conversations with other people in the office as well. They were voices without a face, but I have very warm sentiments towards them. They were so very accommodating dealing with the unexpected scheduling surprises that inevitably come with this type of situation, as well as some problems we might have had with other caregivers, which is also inevitable. It was so very comforting to hear genuine compassion in the voices of the people you were counting on to help you deal with an almost impossible situation. In closing it is not feasible to describe the heartbreak of dealing with this disease, or the challenges of watching someone you love die, in this review. Suffice it to say Visiting Angels, allowed us to endure this journey with grace and love. I'm not certain how we would have managed without them. In our situation, I can state with all honesty, they really were a gift from God, they were His angels.

Our family lost our mother in March of 2019. She was an amazing woman who never let anything rise…read moreabove her top priority of caring for her family, especially my father, Bill. My father is a disabled veteran with crippling arthritis and knee problems and a multitude of health issues and needs. He is a diabetic that requires insulin, has lymphedema that requires daily treatments, needs medications four times per day and after a two serious falls, required someone to be with him while he transferred from chair to walker, walker to bed, etc. My father was from a generation where his wife cooked, cleaned, raised us at home, gave us baths at night, did the laundry, went shopping and had dinner on the table when he got home from work. As we grew up and moved on, my father grew older and his world became smaller as his ailments and medical needs became his focus. My mother took care of him with tireless effort, literally, up to the moment that she died. When she passed, he was lost. With our family spread across the globe (literally) and having families of our own, caring for my father was an impossibility given the degree of care that he requires. We were referred to Visiting Angels who came to meet and evaluate my father and had him set up with care givers within a week. It was an adjustment for my father going from a doting wife who cared for his every emotional and physical need to have caregivers who he did not know come to his home to cook and care for him, but he adjusted and accepted that this was his new reality. We watched this unfold and took great comfort in knowing he was receiving the care that he needed. There were some bumps along the way, which I sheepishly have to admit were caused mostly by my father's attempts trying to alter a situation to get his way instead of what was safe and necessary. These situations were mitigated with great communication between my family, my dad and from Visiting Angels and resolved. Over the last year, his mobility has declined. He went from requiring 12 hours a day of care to 24 hour care after falling in his bedroom at night while alone. He injured his shoulder, but Visiting Angels was even able to provide a care giver for several hours at night during the week while he was in his rehab center for companionship. When we realized we needed 24 hour care, Visiting Angels amazed us with their ability to provide a live-in care giver. This allowed my father to fall into a daily routine with the same person (something extremely important to him). He found it very comforting to get to know someone who also got to know him. Unfortunately this scenario ended yesterday as my father, regrettably, has reached the point that he requires multiple people to transfer him which would put any single caregiver at risk so he has to be placed in a nursing home. We had to say goodbye to Kristin, his most recent and utterly amazing live-in care giver. She was sweet, caring, a wonderful cook and dedicated and was very much part of the family. If it weren't for Visiting Angels, my father would have probably ended up in a nursing home or an extended care facility immediately after his wife's death which would have been devastating as he would have had to say goodbye to her and to the life he had always known at home all at once. However, Visiting Angels provided the means for him to stay at home, provide amazing care which allowed him to continue his life as normally as possible. No one could ever replace my mom, but Visiting Angels gave us all peace of mind knowing they were providing the care we wanted to be able to provide my father on our own, but couldn't. Visiting Angels gave my father the ability to carry on with his life for over a a year in the comfort of his home. I highly recommend them.
