I…read morehave been training for my first marathon for the last 8 months and was excited when I finally reached my goal speed a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, throughout the training, I have experienced increased hip pain. Then, last week, I injured my Achilles heel while rushing somewhere in street shoes. I was emotionally gutted since I only have a month left until marathon day. I was also disappointed that my pain was preventing me from skiing on our long planned ski trip to Park City. As soon as we arrived in Park City, I did a Yelp search and chose Dr. Lester based on the positive reviews from other Achilles injury sufferers. Whereas no other Dr. has been able to pinpoint my hip pain, Dr. Lester was immediately able to hone into my troubled spots and target them with acupressure. He then continued with acupuncture and I began to feel all the troubled areas begin to release. In addition to spending an extensive amount of time treating me, Dr. Lester also made sure to listen, counsel and explain his methods to me. He even recommended precise dosages of over the counter supplements that could help my conditions, without trying to sell me anything. Dr Lester is the most intuitive, caring Dr. I have ever visited and for the first time in a long time, my hip pain has subsided and my Achilles discomfort is no longer noticeable. I look forward to hitting the slopes this week and returning to my marathon training. If you have any kind of pain, I strongly urge you to make an appointment with Dr. Lester. He is the best acupuncturist I have ever been to (and I lived in China for 4 years). The money I spent on the appointment was well worth it.

My treatments and their results so far: - Acupuncture: I have had issues with my Achilles and the calf muscle above it for no less than a decade. These were old running injuries that just wouldn't seem to heal. Dr Lester suggested trying acupuncture as a possibly therapy or remedy- the very next day I was running on a treadmill and PAIN FREE. It has been a week now, and I'm still pain free and have run the last few days in a row! Dr Lester is a miracle worker. - Herbs: I was very sick to my stomach over the holiday, and Dr Lester made an herbal remedy that I took with water as a hot tea, immediately taking away my nausea. I'd recommend this to anyone with nausea issues, whether chronic or not. - Massage therapy: I have a relatively high stress job, and came to Dr Lester while sick over the holiday, not only to get the herbal remedy, but also to get one of his very unique massages. I laid on my stomach and he pushed almost like buttons, every single sensitive point on my back, applying just the right pressure for just the right amount of time. I literally felt the stress melting out of my system. He's kind and customizing- I highly recommend Dr Lester for your naturopathic needs!

This clinic and its doctor failed my son in every possible way…read more We came to this clinic seeking help for my son's depression, anxiety, and addiction. The doctor promised a whole-person assessment, including bloodwork, labs, and brain scans (EEG), which he said would be used to create a personalized treatment plan. None of this ever happened. Most of the labs were never ordered. The promised follow-up sessions to review results and build a plan never occurred. My son was vulnerable, honest, and upfront. He disclosed things that were clear contraindications--something that should have been carefully considered. Yet, the doctor pushed him to begin intensive ITMS brain treatments the very next day, without any labs conducted, results, or further assessment or a specific plan in place. After only a few sessions, my son had a severe reaction that should have stopped treatment, Yet,  No pause. No reassessment. No care. Over the course of 20 treatments (twice a day, five days a week), the doctor has promised to meet with him twice to evaluate progress during the first 20 treatments. He met with him one time and it was brief and nothing changed. At the end of the $6,100 charge for 20 treatments , they pushed a $5,000 "monthly special"--another 20 sessions--with the same vague promise that more is better. My son spent over $11,000 and still never received a treatment plan, lab results, or a meaningful conversation with the doctor. This wasn't healing. It was harmful. My son's symptoms worsened, and the doctor was virtually absent. This clinic is a textbook example of negligence. The promises made were never fulfilled, the assessments were never completed, and the care was non-existent. These providers are dangerous

At first they started occurring once a month and then increased to once a week in frequency. I went to see a neurologist who was only worried that it might be brain cancer and after an MRI rules that out, there were no answers as to why I was having such frequent migraines. My neurologists answer was to write a long list of prescriptions for me to take. I can say that seeing Dr. Brad Lester has already changed my life for the better in 4 short weeks. My headaches and migraines have all but disappeared. I'm no longer taking a long list of prescription medicines that were no longer controlling my migraines. I actually feel like I am alive again instead of just making it day by day. I highly recommend him and know that you will be treated by an ethical healer who is truly concerned with your well-being.

In Hawaii, I was fortunate enough to receive treatment from world renowned Dr. Chieko Maekawa, Ph.D., D.Ac., L.Ac., a Japanese acupuncture teacher and founder of the Seitai Shinpo Acupuncture Foundation. So, I have had the opportunity to experience acupuncture from some exceptional practitioners. That's why I can say with confidence that SLC Qi Community Acupuncture is truly exceptional. The quality of care and treatment I've received here compares very favorably with the acupuncture I've experienced from practitioners I deeply respected elsewhere. I'm honestly so fortunate to have stumbled upon this practice. The entire team is second to none--knowledgeable, compassionate, attentive, and genuinely committed to helping people heal. There is something very special about the atmosphere here. It truly feels like a place of healing rather than simply a place where you receive a treatment. I'm also naturally skeptical and don't tend to be easily convinced by claims about treatments. But I've experienced enough acupuncture over the years to recognize when I'm receiving thoughtful, skilled care, and SLC Qi has absolutely earned my trust. If you're dealing with pain, especially chronic or acute back pain, I highly recommend giving SLC Qi Community Acupuncture a try. I'm incredibly grateful I found them.
