I spent my last three…read moresummers working and living in different countries, from Sweden to The Netherlands to Barbados, and I can honestly say this program sets the bar for immersion programs. I relocated to Argentina in August 2014 and I spent my first two months studying spanish with Stephanie and her crew at SINR. While the lessons were extremely informative (and worked wonders on someone who had never studied spanish before) what sets SINR apart from other programs is the way students are accepted as family. The day you arrive you are embraced with a hug and a kiss, and automatically know you will always have friends in the city of Rosario. The teachers (Marcella, Fede, Claudio, Steph) go to great lengths to specifically tailor programs to the individual strengths and weaknesses of the student. From friendly futbol matches, to asados, to invites for mate/coffee by the river... the great people here consistently go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. I could go on for days about what I love, but I will keep this short and to the point: Literally everything positive that has happened to me in the city of Rosario has been a direct or indirect result of my relationship with Spanish in Rosario. My close group of friends? The result of nights out with Spanish in Rosario. My job? The result of contacts from Spanish in Rosario. My partner? We met through Spanish in Rosario. The house I live in? Contacts from Spanish in Rosario. My first asado, mate, and dulce de leche experiences? Spanish in Rosario. Last, and perhaps most importantly, my ability to communicate in a second language? YUP you guessed it, the result of the efforts of the great people at Spanish in Rosario.
