Found BC mechanics Mobile repair And had her get in touch with them . Turned out the alternator needed replacing . They sent out Josh the owner and his buddy to get it fixed . Long job because of the strange place the alternator is located at. They stayed until after dark to put it in . My daughter drove it home but was still giving her issues . Audi are "special" to my dismay and my income level definitely does not meet the level of being able to afford one comfortably. after having done lots of research I found jamison auto group. they were able to fix both my front wheel hubs in a reasonable amount of time and they partner with a financing company, which allowed me to be able to address this issue with my car immediately before it got worse. what I like about them the most is that they didn't try to swindle me into extra services, or try to talk me out of things that I specifically wanted. they actually did what I needed them to do and actually listened to what I wanted.

Please disregard my previous comments about Jamison Auto Group being a great group of folks. I…read moretook my Classic 69 Chevelle to them trusting that they knew what they were doing. I was in town for Cruising the Coast and was in need of a new alternator. I called my mechanic in my hometown and he stated to me that any good mechanic should be able to handle the repair and as it was a basic repair. Jamison Auto Group we went to Jamison Auto Group and explained the problem and relayed what our mechanic conveyed to us. Low and behold shortly after picking the car up we noticed Clue # 1 the wiring to the alternator was melting and burned up. We took it immediately back to Jamison Auto Group and they stated they had put the wrong gauged wiring on the car. We get back home and a short time later Clue #2 the volt meter was never below 16 and then later Clue #3 heard a chirping from the alternator fan belt and discovered it was very loose. We immediately took the car to our normal mechanic and he advised us that the alternator was the wrong one for the car. My mechanic fixed the issue after another $825 cost to us and said he was surprised that there was no other damage to the car as having the wrong alternator could have burned up all the electrical wiring not to mention caused other damage. Clue #4, I called Jamison Auto Group multiple times and never received a call back. I finally talked to Jamie when he was the one to answer the call. Clue #5 I explained what had transpired and he refused to accept any responsibility and put the blame and responsibility totally onto us and said he just put the alternator you wanted me to put on it and its not the one that he would have personally put on it. I explained to him that I was not a mechanic and trusted him as the mechanic would put the right alternator on it and he never conveyed he would not have put that one on. I explained to him that I expect a mechanic to advise me. I asked Jamison Auto Group if they would at least be willing to buy back the brand new wrong alternator from me, Jamie refused and stated that he only put the alternator that I told him to put on it. I Jamie and Jamison Auto Group are extremely unprofessional and clearly do not stand behind their work, they clearly do not know what they are doing and they expect their customers to tell them the right parts to put on cars. All I was expecting back was for them to buy back the alternator at a reduced cost so I could recover some of my costs but they would not even do that, shame on Jamie and Jamison Auto Group. Maybe Jamison Auto Group should stick to European Cars to work on as they clearly have no clue had to work on basic good old American made classic cars.

I had a whine coming from the rear end that got worse under acceleration, but lessened when you took your foot off the accelerator. Being new to Mississippi, I asked around to find the best mechanic, and two other local shops recommended Ronnie's Automotive in Gulfport after they diagnosed the car and either weren't able to do the work or fit me in their schedule soon. I stopped in Ronnie's and met Kristen, the office manager, and after telling her about the issue with the car, she went and brought the mechanic up that specializes in drivelines and transmissions, Jody, to talk with me personally. I explained the problem and Jody gave me the same diagnosis as the other shops and said he would be able to fit me in quickly. I dropped the car off and Jody did the work within a week since parts had to be ordered, and was very friendly and knowledgeable when explaining what he found upon doing the work. He replaced the differential bearing set and rear axle bearings and once I picked up the car it drove and sounded great, just like new. Kristen, Ronnie, Jody, and the staff I spoke to were all friendly and professional every time I called or stopped in, and I will be using Ronnie's Automotive again if needed and I would highly recommend them. Kristen and Jody cared for my car like it was theirs, so if you have a classic or collector car I would not hesitate to use them.
